I Agree.. Last year, even late morning/early afternoon on the Saturday when everyone was trying to pile into a grandstand because of the rain, It was not a problem trying to get a seat in any of the locations we tried.. International Pit Straight, Abbey, Club and Becketts.. I would imagine it will be even easier this year, with slightly lower ticket sales and expected better weather..

Two DRS zones for this year… Wellington, as per, but also now the Hanger Straight..

Good news for me, as I am in Stowe B for race day..!
My girlfriend and I will be at every vantage point at least once through Fri and Sat though! Maggots/Beckets and International Pit Straight (with a good pair of Binoculars to peer in to the garages) are personal favorites of mine as well..

A little late! But it might excite a few over the next couple weeks! Here are my Pics/Vids from last year…

@janebelindasmith … All in one ticket for the first time ever? For the last two years (2012 was my first year) my tickets have come in the same format… One ticket, with 3 small perforated stubbs, one for each day..

The oppression isn’t because the Khalifa regime want to host a race.. If that was the case there would of been uproar in ~2004.. There is oppression, that’s for sure, but not because the Government want a race. I agree, Security may have been ramped up in the build up the GP and the Shia Muslims may see this as more oppression, its difficult to say from the UK mind. But it is a way to get their views heard..

While I understand that.. The sentence was supposed to be rhetorical, and the point I was trying to get across was “Why are some people single track minded.. While the reasons people want the Bahrain GP cancelled can be applied to a whole host of countries, why do people let those countries slide and sweep the issues under the carpet..” Bahrain has better human rights, and far less issues in some respects than China last weekend, and very few people opposed that.. The media is well aware of how made the state is in China, but people chose to ignore it, and then react in an almost Knee Jerk way to Bahrain.

Has anyone actually been to Bahrain at all, or at least recently?
I have, and I saw no reasons why a race shouldn’t be held.. I was very impressed by the security levels when arriving/leaving and how safe I felt there.. Yes there are still issues, but every country has issues.. If we shouldn’t go because of violence, then should F1 also not go USA? If it is for human rights issues, then maybe F1 shouldn’t go to China either? If it is because citizens are calling for political change, maybe F1 shouldn’t go anywhere ;)
I do think there is an awful lot of media bias against the country and the government that is swaying a lot of peoples opinions not only on this site, but around the world.. A lot of people are commenting saying F1 shouldn’t be held there, without knowing the whole picture.. They just see the bad (that is often twisted and distorted by the media to make it sound worse) and they forget all the good…

Hi all, Can a seasoned veteran help me here please..!
I’ve got Platinum tickets at Club Grandstand for me and a mate. We’re staying in a hotel, so will be getting the park and ride from Six Fields Stadium (M1) for Sat/Sun, with driving to the track on Fri.. Could someone recommend to me what time to arrive on Friday? Also, the information pack says the P/R opens 4AM on Sat and 3AM on Sun (with first departures at 4.30am and 4am respectively).. So can any one suggest a good time I should get there each day? (Bearing in mind on Sun atleast I do have reserved seating).. Also how often do the busses leave each way?
    Thanks for any help!

Similarly, I’m looking for a B&B or travelodge type accomodation. With Driving to site on Friday and Park and Ride for Sat & Sun from the M1 side. I’ve got Platinum tickets at Club, so dont need to arrive too early on Sunday. Any suggestions for where to stay? I know i’ve left it quite late and prices will have gone up, but ah well, I’d rather pay more than camp!

Got my Platinum tickets to the Club Grandstand this year :)
Quick question though, I doubt anyone does, but does anyone know where seats D189-D190 will be in the Grandstand? I think D is the 4th row back from the front, but I have no idea where seats 189-190 will be (ie left hand side looking down the pit straight or right hand side and nearer Vale corner). To be honest i don’t really mind where they are, i think they’ll be great seats, but if anyone does know please let me know! :) Thanks.
