Great reading all the replies. Lots of shared feelings it seems.
In the end I missed the US but watched just the BBC highlights for Brazil, which was ok because it wad interlagos of course. I have to admit, I’ve drifted back to reading the odd f1fanatic article too… how could I possibly not??!!
Really hoping 2014 will be a good one.4th March 2013, 15:24 at 3:24 pm #227970
The article in 4 lines (with direct quotes):
“McLaren are to use Honda engines”
“…the engine manufacturer has decided to return”
“The company has not yet officially confirmed its plans to return.”
“Honda would become the fourth road-car manufacturer supplying engines in F1″
Interesting if true, but in summary, an article designed to grab attention at the start, fading into speculation as you read on. One more click on the bbc sport website… success!28th November 2012, 22:03 at 10:03 pm #216027
On separate note, I’m much more concerned with a Toro Rosso just pulling to one side than overtaking in a yellow flag zone.28th November 2012, 21:59 at 9:59 pm #216026
Now making the bbc sport front page, permalink here:
References a tweet by Alonso, somehow taking the high ground. Perhaps he could hand his Singapore race win back then. Bah.21st November 2012, 14:56 at 2:56 pm #215674
Team radio. Heat of the moment comment. Means nothing. Case closed
I guess thread over then. Do all radio messages mean nothing then ‘in the heat of the moment’.
Personally, it reminds me of when you are in an argument (not a daily occurance, but it happens sometimes) and something you believe but never wish to come out just does so ‘in the heat of the moment.’
Having said that, I guess I’m willing him to hate DRS more than anything else!! I’m sure the teams ask all the drivers not to comment on the FIA regs in the media, that’s why we don’t hear much.21st November 2012, 13:32 at 1:32 pm #215669

Wow @magnificent-geoffrey . I think you are by far leading this one now! It’s almost spooky your last paragraph… have you been travelling at 88mph lately?
Here’s what could be my worst ever prediction, Piquet Jr. to win the Chinese GP 2008. What was I thinking!?6th July 2012, 11:03 at 11:03 am #205041

My word that is an amazing video. The guy at the end must have been relieved to see the door open somewhat.27th April 2012, 15:33 at 3:33 pm #200122
He’s had more bad luck yes, but he’s also been in the mix more because of his inferior qualifying.14th March 2012, 12:14 at 12:14 pm #194798
@topdowntoedown The only place I can think of are branches of Rileys as they are 24 hr and show sky. Probably a few around Essex. I’m trying to find one for this Sunday but in South West London (the Southfields one closed down recently which is a bit of an arse).13th March 2012, 9:00 at 9:00 am #180190
Sorry to report, I’m running android gingerbread and the images are massively stretched in the y dimension. Today’s round up I had to scroll down about 95% of the page to get to the text.
I think it may just be the mobile version of the site because on my laptop (running Opera browser) the new site does indeed look very nice.13th February 2012, 12:10 at 12:10 pm #190527
As much as I’d love to vote for Revs later, I believe it was F3 (or something similar) and not an F1 game.
