@bradley13 @RoboCAT Was hoping for one to drop out and I could have first refusal? Unless there is already a waiting list. I will wait because I would love to be a Team Manager for the main series.
After a 4 year absence (hence the avatar), I am back guys. And after discovering this…. Wow I am jealous. This looks amazing, would love to be part of it one day.

@estesark I know Barrichello’s not here, that is why I wrote “Barrichello’s not here to bash into anyone”. With the other comment, I completely forgot about Sauber’s exhaust system with Red Bull copying the majority of it. I guess Sauber won’t appeal, and then WILL fall out with Ferrari LOL :D
Australian GP edition
1. Majority of the teams lodging an appeal to the FIA about the exhaust positions on the Red Bull and McLaren.
I am expecting this to happen like it did back in 2009 at Melbourne with the double diffuser saga, but this time with the exhausts. Ferrari will start it off, then Sauber will jump on the wagon to follow their engine supplying friends. Toro Rosso and Marussia won’t get involved as they have links with McLaren and Red Bull.2. Sergio Perez pushing for another one-stop strategy.
It worked last year at this track with tyres which wore out more than this years Pirelli rubber (supposingly). Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio kept up the one-stop strategy throughout the year and it worked in the 1st half of the year. They will be practicing this on Friday also with Kamui but they might have to watch out for the weather as it is expecting some rain/thunder on that day.3. Vettel to stick his car on pole (again!)
He did it at Melbourne last year by a staggering 8 tenths from 2nd place Lewis Hamilton. He did it a further record 14 times throughout 2011 (15 in total). Expect him to be there or thereabouts this coming Saturday morning.4. The 3 ‘new’ teams to not make it out of Q1.
Marussia and HRT have not tested their car out properly over the winter testing, so I expect them to work out their setup throughout Friday and Saturday. Caterham look like they upgrade their car little by little but I expect them to stay in the bottom 18 along with Pastor Maldonado this Saturday, Kovalainen heading the team as Petrov still hasn’t got the right setup approach he’s been wanting.5. Safety Car out on Lap 1.
I am expecting the safety car out on lap 1 due to a pile up into turn 1 (although Barrichello’s not here to bash into anyone, he seems to always do that at Melbourne). I reckon it will come from the midfield from the likes of Petrov, Senna and Massa. I just hope Hamilton’s so far forward, he’s not involved in it at all!This was so hard, I had 30 cars but had to narrow it down to just 10!

@prisoner-monkeys I think we need to make a thread, maybe 2 threads. A voting system from all of us to pick our 10 best F1 liveries and our 10 best motorsport liveries. You choose your favourite 10 and using the F1 points system, we put our number 1 as 25 points, number 2 as 18 points and so on and so forth. I think I shall create them now!!
@asanator haha cheers man! Mate, I think the night before I went out for some alcohol and partying, cannot quite remember though. Well, I’ve learned my lesson now.
The morale of these stories are: Always watch the race live!
China 2010. As I live in the UK, I decided to record the China race as it was on at 7am. Hoping for a lye in on a Sunday morning, I got woken up at 9am (2hours after race start) by my Nan as she was dropping off my niece, I had to look after her with my mum. I thought, I might as well get up now, so I rushed downstairs, gave my niece a kiss and said hello to my Nan, then rushed to the remote and switched on the TV. Covering up my eyes, I improvised with the Sky remote to get on the recorded race, also pressing mute just in case it was already on the BBC channel. I got it all set up perfectly, yes!! Jamie, your a genius! Only to hear from my Nan, slowly sitting down, “I see that Button won the race.”
What!?!? Please don’t tell me she just said that! She repeated it again. My Nan has no interest in F1 whatsoever, but the one time I decided to record a race, she does!! It was torture, horrible. Being 20 at the time, you thought I would of been mature enough to let it go over my head, NO! I was in the biggest sulk ever.
Being a Hamilton fan, I didn’t like the fact I had to watch the whole race knowing Button got his 2nd in for McLaren that season, and having to find out Hamilton would not win this race. So where would he finish? The only upside (slightly) was to watch Hamilton carve his way through the pack to finish a few seconds behind Button in 2nd place.
Since that day, I have never recorded a race again.
But I will go for Re-Wired by Kasabian. It wouldn’t surprise me if it IS Kasabian as Sky Sports play their songs with every footage they create, mainly with Football.
