    kbdavies commented on the post, Mercedes stresses commitment to “sporting integrity” 1 week, 5 days ago

    The point is at this stage, F1 needs both Pirelli and Merc, more than they need F1. If slapped with a huge fine, Pirelli may decide to walk, leaving F1 in a mess – as they have no signed contract et for 2014, and […]

    kbdavies commented on the post, Vote for your 2013 Monaco GP driver of the weekend 3 weeks, 1 day ago

    This was no race, so it is pointless voting for the “driver of the weekend”.
    What we should vote for is Widest Car Of The Day (WCOTD) – For going as slow as possible without getting passed.
    This honour […]

    kbdavies commented on the post, Car failure caused Massa’s second crash 3 weeks, 2 days ago

    Totally agree. How many people have at some point in their life, wanted to punch someone for something stupid they did? Saying so is neither immature or unprofessional – especially if you are in a high adrenaline […]

    @keithcollantine –
    I have to disagree with you here. Yes, Kimi could have been more circumspect in hindsight, but this is just his emotion and depth of feeling regarding the incident coming through. Is that […]

    kbdavies commented on the post, Mercedes rivals considering protest over ‘tyre test’ 3 weeks, 3 days ago

    A better analogy would be –

    Imagine a 100m sprint race, where one runner is alloved to use fake spring legs because his own legs were not any good. Oh wait…..that happened already.

    kbdavies commented on the post, 2013 Monaco Grand Prix grid 3 weeks, 3 days ago

    Hamilton’s fans used to say he could out drive any car given to him, but are now making excuses such as saying Hamilton needs time to get accustomed to his car

    All drivers need time to get accustomed to a car. […]

    kbdavies commented on the post, Spanish Grand Prix gets lowest rating of 2013 so far 3 weeks, 6 days ago

    The only race i actually feel asleep watching. It was that bad. Far worse than last year; or any other year for that matter. The only saving grace as already pointed out, is how Alonso won it.

    kbdavies commented on the post, Ferrari join Lotus in criticising tyre revisions 1 month ago

    @GT_Racer

    This is EXACTLY what i have been saying all along. Hembery thinks he is media savvy, but all he is doing is making his company look like a fool. Hemebry is the one who brought up the Red Bull […]

    kbdavies commented on the post, Ferrari join Lotus in criticising tyre revisions 1 month ago

    Pirelli are to blame for this sorry mess. No one asked them to make the 2103 tyres so marginal, nor to be on the limits of what is safe – the FIA and Bernie have confirmed this. Their remit was simply to spice up […]

    Wasn’t there another delamination? I forget who it was. That picture should have been included, as it would have told a thousand words.

    kbdavies commented on the post, Ecclestone bribe case decision due 1 month ago

    Will Buxton, emminent F1 journalist that is he, is clearly talking rubbish on this issue. His claims that Fearrari were pushing has been systematically debunked by quite a few people already via analysis of […]

    kbdavies commented on the post, Ecclestone bribe case decision due 1 month ago

    I can’t see why anyone would find it difficult to see that the drivers are not maximising the cars in the race. If the cars are faster, Q3 times are faster, pole time is faster, but race time is generally slower, […]

    kbdavies commented on the post, Pirelli bring tyre changes forward to Canada 1 month ago

    Here my friend, is the solution –

    - Consistent performance that allows a driver to race and push. Whatever amount of laps the tyres last for, the drivers should be able to get performance out of them during […]

    kbdavies commented on the post, Pirelli bring tyre changes forward to Canada 1 month ago

    Because Pirelli are deliberately obsfucating excatly what they intend to do. For a team who relish being in the limelight (Hembery with all his PR soundbites), they could have been more clear….like –
    “No, these […]

    Erm..NO. Even the car that won was NOT the fastest car, not was it driven as fast it actually is. There is something wrong with that.

    kbdavies commented on the post, Pirelli keen to avoid claim of Red Bull favouritism 1 month ago

    Hysterics aside, the main issue with these tyres is that you simply cannot race on them. Yes you can win, but NOT by racing. If every one crawls around in a competition, somebody will still win. This is what a […]

    Agree with all the points above. I posted a riposte to Buxtons claims on JAF1. Buxtons claims that Ferrari were “pushing” has now been debunked on so many levels.

    kbdavies commented on the post, 2013 Spanish Grand Prix lap times and fastest laps 1 month, 1 week ago

    You know something is really wrong with the tyres when the fFastest lap up to 7secs slower than pole time. In the days of old, the fastest laps sometimes beat the pole time.
