KeeleyObsessed commented on the post, Rate the race: 2013 Spanish Grand Prix 6 days, 14 hours ago
Well, I’ve been worrying for a few years, and I’ve finally found the answer.
If you want to watch a top-flight, premier race with good background knowledge, then watch F1 on the BBC.Seriously, none of this […]

KeeleyObsessed commented on the post, DRS and tyres: Has F1 got the balance right? 2 weeks, 1 day ago
Interesting to see the results of this poll.. Once again it appears that the people who don’t like the tyres (The self-proclaimed ‘purists’ who then try to explain why the sport is rubbish) are the ones who shout […]

If you look at population and landmass
Then why has countries like Hungary, Austria and Turkey had races whilst India, Russia and China haven’t? (Okay, China have had one for a few years, but […]

Wait… We’re now expecting 3 races in USA in the near future? I’ve said this before, F1 should not have more than 1 race in a country each year. It’s bad enough USA will end up with 2 tracks next year, I couldn’t […]

A brilliant quote from an annoyed F1 fan after Silverstone 2010 with the Red Bull wing swapping… It’s interesting to read in todays context..
‘The plaudits have come too thick and too strong for Vettel, supposedly “a future title winner.” That he has been rated by some pundits and many fans as being in the same class as Hamilton and Alonso…[Read more]

KeeleyObsessed commented on the post, Porsche chose Le Mans over F1 for “road relevance” 3 weeks, 5 days ago
Completely agree with that choice. F1 isn’t a sport for road cars, as I’ve said before. Besides, ‘Porsche return to Le Mans’ is a far bigger headline than ‘Porsche return to F1′. Porsche are the most successful Le […]

KeeleyObsessed commented on the post, Button and Massa say current tyres are good for F1 1 month ago
F1 used to run races without pit-stops and therefore no pit-stop strategy, I believe those years are referred to as the “Golden Years”.
F1 did try no tyre changes (although with refuelling). You’re […]

They should have taken the Medium and Hard to China
Under that, the options would have lasted 25 laps, as Gary Anderson noted on his blog…

Please name a single sports that attempts to totally nullify the skill set of it’s players and the ability of it’s equipment, by introducing another piece of equipment so it can improve the “show”.
I like a […]

Pirelli have made the right choice with their tyres.
Gary Anderson sums it up like this: If they had chosen Medium and Hard in China, then the options would have lasted 25 laps. That’s far too much. They went for Soft and Medium, they couldn’t have gone any softer as the Supersofts would have been atrocious, they couldn’t have gone harder as…[Read more]

Last 5 race winners: Hamilton, Button, Raikkonen, Vettel, Alonso. Where are the slow drivers there?
Apologies for those who are getting bored of my comments, I’m just trying to understand what the […]

KeeleyObsessed commented on the post, Button and Massa say current tyres are good for F1 1 month ago
With all due respect Button and Massa are talking absolute rubbish. Whilst fans, and drivers don’t want tyres lasting the whole race, they don’t want tires that are good for only a single lap […]

No, I’m sorry @hohum I have to disagree.
When drivers make pronouncements like this people have to realise that it is a part of their PR duties
Appearing at the Press Conferences is part of their PR, but they […]

@iamjamm Thank you, precisely what I’ve been thinking as I read through the articles about this.
I personally have no issues with the tyres. They are the same for each team. Each team has designed their car […]

I wish people would leave Grosjean and Maldonado alone. This year, and for the last few races last year, Perez appears to be involved in or causing more incidents, yet they appear to be forgotten.. Whereas […]

@iamdanthomas Unfortunately that’s BBC Sport commenters for you.. They do the same on most articles (and most articles devolve into JB v LH). It only takes them to see ‘Andrew Benson’ on an article, they […]

KeeleyObsessed commented on the post, Lotus, Red Bull & Ferrari covered by a tenth of a second 1 month, 4 weeks ago
Looking at the graph, Massa looks incredibly good. Able to keep his tyres up consistently, at a pace faster than Alonso. I’ll presume Lotus and Red Bull set their longest stints in the wet, as their times appear […]

@blackmamba I’d argue that he’s good around Monaco on single-lap pace.. He was in Q3 last year when he crashed, so obviously had good qualy speed, and last year McLaren went to great pains in pointing out that he […]
