Thanks for contacting us regarding the BBC’s rights to broadcast future seasons of ‘Formula One’.
We understand you are unhappy that the BBC won’t be showing all races in future seasons due to the sharing of broadcast rights with Sky.
We know that Formula 1 has an extremely passionate following in the UK and that some fans will be disappointed that not all races will be available exclusively live on the BBC from next season.
We are operating in a very tough financial climate and in common with all areas of the BBC, BBC Sport is having to make significant cost savings over the next few years in order to operate within the constraints of the licence fee settlement, therefore we have to make some difficult choices.
We believe this deal represents good value for money for licence fee payers. We retain live coverage of half of the race weekends and we will have extended highlights of the remaining races so we are pleased that all of the action from Formula 1 for the next seven seasons will remain on BBC television. Online coverage of the race weekends that we broadcast will remain the same, and we will carry all the news and reports from the rest of the season. Radio coverage will not change whilst the most popular races – the British Grand Prix, the Monaco Grand Prix and the final race of the season will continue to be broadcast live on BBC One.
We would like to assure you that we’ve registered your complaint on our audience log. This is the internal report of audience feedback which we compile daily for all programme makers and commissioning executives within the BBC, and also their senior management. It ensures that your points, and all other comments we receive, are made available across the BBC.
Thanks again for taking the time to contact us with your concerns.

1st December 2010, 17:38 at 5:38 pm #155198kinggpParticipantWhich small team would you like to start with?
id start with hispania, the modern day minardi, then score the teams first ever points, and stay for 2 seasons
Which midfield team would you move to?
then i would move to williams, help turn them back into a title challanging team and in my fisrt season challenge for the title, finishing second resulting in strong rumors of a move to mclaren for ferrari, but stay with williams for a second year and win the title
Would you drive for Ferrari or Mclaren?
ferrari then later to mclaren
and you only won one race where would you like it to be?
Silverstone
and you were remembered for an epic duel to the flag who would you want to be battling with?
A 3 driver batle with Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa

Nico Hulkenberg, Rubens Barichello or Robert Kubica
who would you not want for a team mate?

29th October 2010, 18:22 at 6:22 pm #149294kinggpParticipantsurely this can put teams to either an advantage or disadvantage. how would a set temperature be decided. if you look at last year, brawn would have wanted it to be very hot as they could look after their tyres but red bull would have wanted it cool as they could be the only ones to get the heat into their tyres. it would be completely unfair
25th October 2010, 20:54 at 8:54 pm #149028kinggpParticipantpetrov just isnt good enough. Hulkenberg deserves another season possibly at williams or renault? but petrov has to go. Hulk has been closer to rubens than petrov has to kubica all year.
25th October 2010, 20:50 at 8:50 pm #147747kinggpParticipant2006 – Schumacher (his last year so i wanted him to go out on top)
2007 – Hamilton
2008 – Hamilton
2009 – Brawn GP (Mainly button but brawn cos they were a new team and it was like a fairy tale)
2010 – Mclaren (2 english drivers in and english team, cant beat it, but then anyone except red bull)
2011 – Hamilton/Button
16th August 2010, 11:40 at 11:40 am #143279kinggpParticipantout of all the new drivers this year, (hulkenburg, petrov, di grassi, chandhok, kobayshi) senna has to be 3rd best for me behind kobayshi and hulk. i think in a car such as a renault, he would be closer to kubica than petrov.
12th August 2010, 15:11 at 3:11 pm #143347kinggpParticipanti do like the current f1 qualifying, however to improve it, you could say that from the start of qualifying cars must fuel up for the entire session, so you could have cars with little fuel going fast straight away if they dont expect to get out of q1 and heavier cars struggling through. this could give mixed up grids and also provide more competitive racing with overtaking as the slower cars could be ahead of faster cars thanks to the fuels loads.
e.g. say virgin fuel for 5 laps and then cant add more fuel again, they would have a lighter car and could get out of q1 but red bull know they could get to pole so would need more fuel so about 15 laps to set a time in every session, so cars could get surprised and knocked out early resulting in mixed up grids.
