Kingshark commented on the post, Hamilton bemused by Red Bull’s “odd” threats to leave 2 hours, 37 minutes ago
Bottas looked really good against Massa in the first half of 2014 (until around Belgium); which made a lot of people believe that he was a top driver. However, once Massa stopped getting involved in silly […]

Everything I have heard recently has implied that Ferrari are on par or almost on par with Mercedes in the engine department. They are not losing out on the straights, they are losing time through […]

Too many of the new tracks have too little character. There are exceptions – Abu Dhabi, for example, and Austin – but this one does not stand out so much.
Oh dear, if Lewis thinks that the Abu Dhabi circuit has […]
Kingshark commented on the post, Wolff not concerned about F1’s future if Red Bull leaves 1 day, 3 hours ago
I don’t know whether I should be excited or depressed at the prospect of 3 car teams next year. On one hand, it could mean 6 potential drivers who have the car to win, which in itself is an incredible prospect. […]

10 years ago, nobody would have forseen Brackley and Red Bull domination in the nearby future.
Imagine what F1 will be like 10 years from now. I suspect that Haas and McLaren-Honda will be dominating; […]

Although the racing wasn’t particularly great during this period of time, there was an enormous sense of anticipation and unpredictability before each race. A feeling that anything could happen. Nowadays […]
I like the picture of the HRT right below the title.
Nevertheless it does remind you about how just about every one of the “new teams” from 2010 pretty much failed apart from perhaps Virgin/Marussia/Manor, who […]

Same. I would say that F1 lost something after the incredible Brazil 2012 finale. After that, I was never as excited for any other race ever again. F1 rapidly descended in the very tedious second […]

I’d say that F1 was at its peak from 2006 to 2010. We had 5 different champions in 5 consecutive seasons and no one really dominated. After that everything just went downhill.
Kingshark commented on the post, ‘I’d match Hamilton’s lap times pretty quickly’ – Mansell 3 days, 22 hours ago
Well, he was slower than his dad when they were teammates in 1985, so I don’t think much has changed 30 years later. ;)
Kingshark replied to the topic Comparing Vettel vs Hamilton… on any fact you want. in the forum Formula One 1 week, 1 day ago
RATE THEIR CARS
– Vettel drove a dominant car in 2011 and 2013.
– Vettel drove the outright best car in 2010 and 2012.
– Vettel drove a car slightly inferior to the best in 2009.
– Vettel drove a capable race winner but not WDC contender in 2014 and 2015.
– Vettel drove a midfield car in 2008.
– Hamilton drove and dominant car in 2014 and thus…[Read more]

I don’t recall seeing this much Mercedes coverage in the actual race…
I’m talking about actually winning the wdc, and how you have to beat your team mate in order to be number 1.
Massa went from being a #2 driver in both 2006 and 2007 to being a #1 driver in […]
He did NOT hold his ground. Had he held his ground they would probably have touched because Lewis tried to run him out of the road. And had they touched I think the overall feeling here […]
You. hold. your. ground.
He did hold his ground, and he got pushed off the circuit and onto the grass. Had he not held his ground, he would have slot in behind Lewis at the apex of turn 2. […]
You simply DO NOT yield
Do you have a better solution? Crash and let Vettel win? Rosberg would have one less race to make up his 40 point deficit, and Vettel jumping him would make Mercedes […]

The start was blatantly obvious. Hamilton and Rosberg were going side-by-side, but the race director decided to focus on a Force India in the background.
