Thank God that it didn’t give way midway through the last corner or during turn 3; it could’ve been a lot uglier. It is just fortunate that the tyre failures of Paul, Felipe and Lewis have all occurred on […]

Agree, it was very poor. I was waiting to see the conclusion to Webber-Hamilton-Pérez and all we saw was a mostly empty pit straight.

I agree. This tragic device seems to be filtering down the European motorsports.
DTM has no need of it either; their racing is usually very exciting and filled with overtakes.

Apropos of these changes, shouldn’t the Ferrari drivers be ahead of the McLaren ones on the links at the bottom of the page? Also, the Kimster should be ahead of the Mercedes drivers. The constructors also need to […]

McLaren MP4-27 @ 2012 US Grand Prix
This is as close as we are going to get to Verizon sponsorship on a McLaren. But as Snobeck said, they are part of the same group so it won’t happen.

Amazing how despite the errors of which you speak in 2007 and 2010, in both of those years he managed to defeat the reigning world champion (Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button).
But don’t let logic get in the […]

That straight is the final straight I think. The pit straight refers to the straight adjacent to the actual location of the pit crews and equipment. The easiest way to think of it is: wherever the start-finish […]

I think the point THOMF1s was trying to make is that of the three variables (KERS, DRS, and bubblegum tyres) which were introduced, Pirelli’s have enabled overtaking much more than the other two tools.

Out of the two above technologies, definitely ‘UltraHD’ will be more prominent in F1. It possesses no downsides to ’1080p HD’ apart from extra bandwidth required and most importantly it is a passive technology. 3D […]
