F1 Fanatic - Kremer
Street circuits are pretty unforgiving. Not the most opportune first race.
He’s still learning the car, but let’s see how qual. and the race itself goes for him.
Sent you a problem report the other day about commenting on F1F-Live.
Or what I thought was a problem – I sussed it out, and figured out what confused me…
Apparently, unlike last year, you can’t use your main F1F login to comment – it won’t allow it. I had to additionally log in via my Twitter name before comments were accepted. Apparently it only accepts comments from registered users of the 4 choices.
That’s not a problem… but it would be very nice to have that emphasized up-front on the F1F-Live link page (preferably in bold.)
Otherwise, someone like me, who hadn’t ever used any of those 4 choices until recently (Twitter) will be permanently locked out of commenting. (And, like me, remain totally confused and frustrated until they hopefully figure things out on their own.)
If nothing else, it illustrates the difference between then and now about our current litigious society – if the Le Mans racing circuit would still have the same spectator areas and racing safety now as they had back then, that type of accident would result in so many lawsuits and damage claims that the race, its organizers and backers (and possibly even the entire series itself) would likely be forced into bankruptcy, and litigated into history.
I’d compare and contrast Martin with Nigel – I think their main differences were with ego and commitment (including ambition). I think if Martin would have had the same drive Nigel did to be ‘the best’ and F1 World Champion, he certainly had enough driving talent to come close or equal Nigel’s F1 career.
