Grand Prix 2 will always be the best because of the nostalgia factor. First F1 game I ever played, then found out how easy it was to mod and I’d probably still play it now if it worked on my pc, I actually miss it still, after all this time. That’s the best thing about GP2, it had you coming back for more. On most other F1 games I’d eventually get bored and stop playing for a while. Not on GP2.
The first PlayStation F1 game I bought was F1 98, which was ok. By the time I got given F1 97 by a mate (madman) I was still well into GP2 and more modern games so never really played it much. I eventually bought F1 Challenge 99-02, which was the closest thing to GP2 in having the longevity, mainly because of the online play and F1C is where I started racing in online championships. Now I play rFactor and, if you don’t take into account nostalgia, it’s far and away the best racing game out there. Until rFactor 2 comes out.11th April 2011, 22:24 at 10:24 pm #166581
Don’t see what refuelling adds to be honest, I think it’s good as it is now.9th April 2011, 12:01 at 12:01 pm #156514
Yep would be a good idea get them done while we’ve got a full grid etc.9th April 2011, 11:53 at 11:53 am #156512
Agree with Tommy. It’s got to the point where people are now busy doing other things and/or don’t have time to race.9th April 2011, 11:47 at 11:47 am #156510
Wasn’t wet nor exciting for me lol. Quit because I was bored to be honest, not for the first time, difficult to find motivation running round in fourth. Wouldn’t be so bad but since there were only 4 cars out there it’s not the most exciting way of playing a game. Would just be better to race with more cars to be honest, I can’t see myself racing anymore if things don’t improve.9th April 2011, 10:31 at 10:31 am #156508
I’m in today if there’s enough drivers. SW6569 – think the Grand National started at 4 and the coverage starts at 1ish so should be alright for you I hope!19th March 2011, 14:13 at 2:13 pm #156469
@MGP – I know what you mean about turn 4 being slippery, caught me out a few times!19th March 2011, 12:48 at 12:48 pm #156460

Feel like I should probably do a review myself lol, so here it is.
Went out on a dry setup and immediately joined that group of 4 or 5 people within half a second of each other. Pitted for fresh tyres, went back out and turned my engine up to fast and just got a really good lap in and thought I wouldn’t be able to beat that so went back to the pits and hoped lol.
Got a decent start and came under attack from tomcheesey. Think I braked a bit too late at Les Combes and went straight on and lost the place. Unfortunately I can’t really remember what happened after that other than me gaining the place back and then just saving the car to the end. I knew MGP was closing a lot because of his softs but I had a good gap so was just taking care not to crash out. Pretty boring race for me in a way but I enjoyed being out in front for the first time this season :D26th February 2011, 12:59 at 12:59 pm #156335
So pleased with that finally got my first win!!! :D:D:D23rd February 2011, 13:46 at 1:46 pm #156317
Yeah sw6569 is right, otherwise there’ll only be 3-5 of us which could be a bit dull for a longer race lol. 12 for this weekend is fine for me.
