Withdrew after about 14 laps. The car was so unwieldy I couldn’t keep it out the wall and driving that car on that track, never mind with damage, isn’t fun. Then I crashed while being lapped so I got out before I ruined someone else’s race.
Not looking forward to next week, seeing as Monaco is even tighter than Tokyo.

Unfortunately, after next week I’ll probably be out for the season.
Fun again. Had decent pace due to the nature of the track but getting caught out on cold tyres at turn 1 kind of set the tone. Had a decent run of clean laps toward the end after I pitted but everyone was long gone.
Almost forgot about this. Looking forward to having another crack at this after the disaster that was the 24 Laps of Le Mans.
edit: disaster for me, that is, given how I found almost every single gravel trap during the night in the rain.

Wasn’t really in it tonight and was unpracticed to boot. Apologies if I hit anyone, I did my best to run my own race and get out the way when I was being lapped. I’ll endeavour to be more practised next week and hopefully slightly closer to the pace. The long straights at Le Mans should help.
@mazdachris I could probably get down to the 2:05 mark if I get the ultimate lap together, though seeing how I got lapped twice last week you should probably be looking to bear that however badly Trial Mountain suited my car.
A quick warning that my Jag could be quite slow in some places, such as through Eau Rouge and on the run to the Bus Stop, than other cars, and quicker in others, such as the run to Les Combes. No sense in not saying anything now and having an accident later on.
Preparations? I’ve done some, I’ll hopefully get the chance to do some more…
@fastiesty I wonder if the chicane being added in 1983 coincided with Honda taking over the track. I think it’s safe to assume it was added to attract international series to Suzuka which had previously gone to Fuji.
I also found this footage of an Japanese F2 race on the original track which gives a better view of the run from Spoon to the end of the lap (and also features a young Stefan Johansson) http://youtu.be/lo6KYopr6eY. In the wet, and with cars which were hardly slow, it must have been terrifying!
Is there going to be a championship table, or is that elsewhere?
Sounded like some race going on at the front. I personally had enough problems manhandling my car round the track, but Spa should be better for the big Jag. Good fun though, hope we can get a few more folk signed up.
Guess I should do this properly.
