Hi, thanks for that. I’m still waiting to find out what tickets we have and then I shall heed everyone’s advice and probably ask for more!17th June 2012, 8:58 at 8:58 am #194844
Please help me out here as I have never been to a GP before, only found out Friday that someone had sorted out tickets for me and I know this is going to sound like a really stupid question to all of you – why do I need to get there for 5.30(6.30, 7.30) but it’s OK to start queuing for where I want to watch a session 30 minutes before it starts? I really don’t get it (also, I have no info as I don’t even know what type of ticket I have, and probably won’t until I get there, so don’t have anything to go on other than what all you helpful veterans are telling us!).16th June 2012, 6:48 at 6:48 am #180354
I’m looking at going to Dadford too as I only got told last night that I have a pass for Silverstone – I am so excited – this is my first GP – it should be Hungary as I booked that all nice and early and now this happens – I really am going to be a giddy pain at home all weekend! So, if anyone knows any decent nearby places, I’d be more than happy to know – thanks.2nd November 2011, 0:16 at 12:16 am #183982
I’ve been visiting this site daily for years now but still rarely post as I get so much from just reading everyone’s comments. I’ve noticed some increase in the types of comments you’ve mentioned but not enough to put me off, and I’m quite snotty about that sort of thing. Now you’ve raised it as an issue it may make some of your regulars more alert to it and then you’d likely get the feedback on individuals that may need action without the need for setting up a rating type system. I guess that’s the kind of thing you’d want-us to self-moderate? Still love the site, it’s the only one that’s stayed as part of my homepages since I found it…18th February 2011, 17:35 at 5:35 pm #161692
Oh, I’d love to be able to say that I won’t watch if it’s on but I don’t have that kind of willpower (even at that track..)18th February 2011, 17:31 at 5:31 pm #161691
Politics out of sport and sport out of politics? As soon as they are mentioned in the same breath it is too late to separate them as the recent postings have shown. The point about China is interesting as it IS all about where the line is drawn but, if we avoided any race in any country where any injustice occurs, we’d all get back about 20 weekends a year…11th February 2011, 20:54 at 8:54 pm #159945
