marcusbreese commented on the post, Lowe to start work at Mercedes in two weeks’ time 3 days, 1 hour ago
Given the car he delivered for McLaren this year, it’s no wonder they are happy for him to join Mercedes ASAP. Probably hoping he will sabotage Merc as well.

34 points against his team mates 0. Couldn’t ask for much more than that, could you?

i think “massive understeer” is something I hear a lot on one McLaren drivers team radio!

marcusbreese commented on the post, 2012 F1 driver rankings #5: Nico Hulkenberg 5 months, 1 week ago
Good choice – he was thoroughly impressive this season, Williams must be smacking their head at letting go of him, as he has the speed of Maldonado and the consistency of Senna.
Brazil was also a hugely […] -

I’m surprised that Kova is better placed than Petrov, considering the second half of the season (where Petrov ultimately got the result that mattered), and I’ll be interested to see what Di Resta has done to merit […]

@psynrg Any ideas what that film was called? I’d be interested to watch it.
I feel the same about Gascoyne, he seems thoroughly overrated, and it seems as though most teams have had a sudden improvement as […]

fifty five quid! holey moley. Looks like a great book to have around, though. Tough choice…

marcusbreese commented on the post, Schumacher finishes his F1 career as he started it 5 months, 3 weeks ago
I worked it out yesterday…I think it stands at 25 to Button, and 22 to Hamilton. Mainly because Button got so many last year, Hamilton got more in ’10 and ’12.

It was a nice passing of the mantle…from Schumi to the one they used to call Baby Schumi. Vettel would have overtaken him anyway.

That one of Alonso just after the crash is excellent – perfect timing.
I heard talk of a woman with a hat featuring a Sauber wing, which could have the DRS opened. Any pictures of that anywhere?

I thought the “first lap nutcase” tag was quite amusing, I can it sticking (unfortunately for Grosjean).

I’d be slumped and miserable like that too if I was in Lewis’s shoes…
Very sad to see the Ham-Mcl era end, and I don’t think it’s on particularly good terms either. -
marcusbreese commented on the post, Perez takes place of Mercedes-bound Hamilton at McLaren 7 months, 3 weeks ago
Thrilled for Perez. I remember meeting him in Australia this year, and telling him “I hoped he’d get a Podium or two”. Boy has he exceeded that.
Will be VERY interesting to see how Hamilton gets on at […]

I think people have to remember that Schumachers success at Ferrari was the exception rather than the rule. Think about all the other WDC drivers who have moved from their team to a slower one, and got nowhere. […]

marcusbreese commented on the post, Ferrari not as competitive in Singapore, says Alonso 8 months ago
Force India & Williams are going to be high up on Sunday I think. Pole and 1st is surely between Ham and Vet, and maybe Button, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Hulk, Di Resta or Maldonado up there too.

marcusbreese commented on the post, Alonso: Ferrari covering Hamilton threat at Singapore 8 months ago
Shouldn’t he (and the team) be deciding on the day who to cover, then? Or in fact they should be racing proactively, and let everyone else cover him.
He’s got a big enough lead to be able to race like that, […] -
