Today was the first time they’ve really moaned about the tyre situation in commentary and I suspect they were told to do so by Sky because they think the fans want their opinions echoed back from the TV.

First part of the race was good when it looked like there were a few drivers fighting for the top spots, but as soon as Alonso got out front it was a foregone conclusion.

Wasn’t DRS supposed to be a stop-gap while the teams/rule-makers figured out a better way to reduce the dirty air?

@iamdanthomas I feel the same regarding Alonso. Used to hate him but in the last year or so I’ve really grown to like him, and with that have been able to more appreciate his driving skill.

2. Only excitement was on the first lap and a couple of short battles in the midfield. Haven’t been that bored during a grand prix for a long time.

F1 7 months, 2 weeks ago@pamphlet If you want an example of how you’re wrong take a look at the list of fatalities in motorsport and ask yourself how many of those drivers’ names you even recognise, let alone are hailed as greats of the sport.
