I can’t believe that even after a flag marshal comes here and explains the situation there are still people who think their opinions are more valid than the actual facts.

I was fully expecting Reynolds to just stuff it down the inside at the last corner and hope for the best. What did he have to lose?

@pamphlet If you want an example of how you’re wrong take a look at the list of fatalities in motorsport and ask yourself how many of those drivers’ names you even recognise, let alone are hailed as greats of the sport.

Amazing save. Shame the commentators completely missed it!

Someone else had a very similar slide a few laps later and destroyed the car in the wall on the outside.

Shocking. If the car was being recovered under double yellows then that was a very bad decision by the organisers. But even if that was the case, drivers are supposed to drive to a speed where they can stop very quickly if something (or someone) is on track in front of them. But you can see that everyone (not just the guy who crashed) was going too quickly. After the crash the drivers behind were slewing all over the place, unable to come to a controlled stop as you would expect under double yellows.

I hope everyone involved is properly punished or it’ll only be a matter of time before someone (probably an innocent marshal) gets seriously hurt.

Pretty disappointed with the Sky coverage to be honest. The race itself was fine, but Sky had little to do with that as it was just the feed provided to them (although the extra bits on the red button are a nice addition). However, the post-race analysis was terrible, and that’s the bit they really need to get right in my opinion.
They spent so much time talking about Mclaren, barely mentioned the mid-field battles and didn’t touch on the last lap. Very poor.

People like Kyle Busch shouldn’t be allowed behind the wheel of a racing car. Deliberately causing an accident should never be allowed under any circumstances, especially when the red mist has descended and it’s about revenge.
Try using the “have at it” defense in court when you end someone’s career or life in an accident like that…

The seller has cheaper wheels for sale if you didn’t want to risk so much money: http://cgi.ebay.com/F1-WHEEL-RIM-MARK-WEBBER-RB6-RED-BULL-RACING-Id-No-141_W0QQitemZ310321426116QQihZ021QQcategoryZ2876QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem#ht_8496wt_1202

I’d contact red bull and verify the sellers claim that: “F1-247 ARE THE WORLDWIDE AGENTS FOR RED BULL RACING”.

Then you’ll know whether they’re trustworthy.

He’s fantastic, and I love all the funny lines he comes up with. But one thing I absolutely can’t stand is that stupid catch-phrase he uses when the lights are about to go out. “Look but never stare”. Someone must have told him it was clever and profound or something…but it really isn’t.

    “What do you guys think?”

That you need to realise not everyone has the same taste in music as you.

Further reading on why the burial at sea wasn’t in line with Sharia law: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-south-asia-13261680

“It is correct to carry out a burial at sea when someone dies on a sea journey, he says, but in this case there was no sound reason for it.

The US authorities could surely have found someone – a member of the extensive Bin Laden family, or even one of the many supporters of his “evil” ideology – who would have been prepared to give the body a proper burial, he argues.

His words were echoed by Mohammed Qudah, a professor of Islamic law at the University of Jordan, who told the Associated Press news agency that burying Bin Laden at sea was not forbidden if there was nobody to receive the body and provide a Muslim burial.

But he went on: “It’s neither true nor correct to claim that there was nobody in the Muslim world ready to receive Bin Laden’s body.”

The devil is in the details when it comes to respecting someone’s religious beliefs. Clearly they did the minimum (by burying him within 24 hours with some religious words spoken) but it’s also clear that not wanting to create the opportunity for a shrine was their main concern.

Basically if you’re trying not to piss off religious zealots by respecting their burial practice it’s best to do it properly…

They buried him at sea within 24 hours of his death (in accordance with Islamic law)

It actually contravened Sharia law. Burials at sea are only to be used in specific, extraordinary circumstances. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/may/02/sea-burial-osama-bin-laden

Further proof of US ignorance and fuel for the extremist fire.
