24th January 2012, 9:02 at 9:02 am #181291McFosiParticipantFor those of you who do not know, Silverstone Golf Club offer very convenient camping. I have stayed there twice in the past and can recommend it. Just go to their website to book….You can also sneek in the back road via Dadford, very easy.
22nd January 2012, 17:49 at 5:49 pm #181285McFosiParticipantPaul – Windmill is good for Becketts too.
17th January 2012, 20:41 at 8:41 pm #181277McFosiParticipantI have just seen the long range weather forcast for Silverstone…Dry, warm and sunny all weekend..!
Thay have also reduced the price of the food by half, reduced the cost of the beer by 60%, guaranteed no traffic jams, tarmaced all the rubble paths, doubled the size and quantity of the screens and built 20 more toilet blocks…..!
Then I woke up……..Bugga. ……….I still love it though :o) IT`S BRILLIANT…!

10th January 2012, 9:06 at 9:06 am #134935McFosiParticipantMy Avatar is Jenson and myself, that is me on the left…! . I am a member of Team McLaren and was chosen to go to the McLaren Technology Centre for a tour and meet Jenson in 2010, when he was World Champion. It was an awsome experience, I actualy got to sit in the F1 trainer, a multi gym in the shape of an F1 car is the best description, Lewis had been in it the day before….It needed a little adjustment for me…!
The MTC is a totally stunning place, we stood right next to the cars in the prep bays being made ready for Spa four days later, then saw them wheeled out to the transport. I was speechles.Jenson was a real top bloke, chatting to us, having a coffee, pics and signed stuff for us, before he had to go back to the simulator for another session at Spa.
As a real bonus, I got speaking to Neil Trundle about the MP4-1. If you do not know who he is, Google or You Tube him. All I can say is that he is the most facinating, knowledgable, enthusiastic and friendly man I have ever met in sport. Top bloke.
What a day…!

9th January 2012, 16:47 at 4:47 pm #180434McFosiParticipantThe tram/train system is fantastic in Melbourne. We were in Berwick, some distance from the CBD and circuit, but a simple train and tram and we were there. Melbourne is realy easy to get around.
6th January 2012, 16:14 at 4:14 pm #188448McFosiParticipantI would so love to see a F1 GP back in France, it would be a must do for us Brits……BUT, not at the expense of Spa in any way, shape or form.
But a French Grand Prix again….. OH YES PLEASE..! I am so feeling that, us oldies, sorry, older F1 fans, would love that.
Imagine a Portugese GP again…….Estoril used to be the best party atmos EVER….Bring it on.
6th January 2012, 16:04 at 4:04 pm #188383McFosiParticipantMmmmmm. Put it this way, he retired and fell off the track quite a bit. Did he not have a Le Mans though.
6th January 2012, 15:56 at 3:56 pm #181256McFosiParticipantThey have made a great job of Woodlands now, but it is so busy. Windmill is a nice site if you are looking for something quieter. Silverstone Golf Club is also good.
