Puffy commented on the post, Were Red Bull & Mercedes right to use team orders? 1 month, 3 weeks ago
@mike-e While I agree with the sentiment expressed about the Red Bull incident, I think you voted answering the wrong question. The question was whether Red Bull were right to issue the team orders in the first […]

7/10. Good overall. Although, like @mike-e put it: “This race lacked RACING.”
Would have been a lot more fun if it had begun to rain when Sutil was leading the race :)
Rosbergs DNF was a shame because I’m […] -

Off-topic 6 months, 1 week ago@mike-e Perhaps the intention of the series is to promote the technology, rather than develop it. I notice that it will be run ‘exclusively in major international cities’, which I take to mean ten street […]

Mads commented on the post, Mosley urges Todt to be tougher with teams 7 months ago
@mike-e
The problem is, that a certain job can’t be priced. As I say, what is a F1 engine worth? What is a roll of carbon fibre cloth worth? The shirts the team wears, or the jacks they use?
The price is […] -

@mike-e
The problem is, that its impossible. Especially factory backed teams will have a huge advantage. What does an engine cost? 100 billion, or 6 pence? I think the factory teams would get them for about…. […] -

@mike-e – Not if his practice times have been within 107%, he’d probably be given a by into the race still. Thought the FIA would probably guess they wouldn’t Qualify to save tyres seeing as he’ll start last […]

Prisoner Monkeys commented on the post, New Lotus to be called the E20 1 year, 3 months ago
@mike-e – I’d say they’re perfectly aware of who they are. The name “E20″ was chosen for sentimental reaons – it’s “Enstone 20″, to commemorate twenty years at the Enstone factory.

Well, @mike-e, here goes:
Massa – I fear you are right, does not look like he will be able to get back up to any heights
Webber – I think he does a solid job (the DC to Vettels Häkkinen?), lets give him the […] -

@mike-e @keithcollantine Yea, I noticed that too. They were faster than Sauber in Monaco (they only had one car to deal with!), Virgin in Korea and Toro Rosso in Abu Dhabi.
Are we not reading something correctly?

Except that on that track all drivers use the curbs extensively, as they loose little to no time running nearly off the track, so they can afford to push hard.
If going over the curb caused that problem, […] -

@mike-e Was going to say just this. Given that there’s less than a tenth of a second between Hülkenberg and Di Resta, I’d say there’s not much in it between them. If the gap were three-tenths, however, it would be […]

@mike-e and why exactly would his tyres be low pressure? i know the commentary keeps talking of low pressure, but the differences are minimal. Back in Martin Brundle’s day there would have been a lot more pressure […]

You don’t know this. It is just a theory, and it is just as good as all the others.The only problem is, drivers have been tackling high curbs all year from T1 on the first lap to the very last corner […]
