“CAN hurt F1 in the long term”. Sorry

montreal95 commented on the post, Ecclestone: “It would be much easier if I was guilty” 1 day, 9 hours ago
@john-h Thanks for the clarification but I disagree that RBR were dominating at any race this season. In Malaysia Mercedes ran them close(and they were lucky about Alonso too). at Bahrain Lotus were faster in the […]

Regarding COTD: What on earth are you on about? RBR leads the championship, barely, but they’re not dominating. Which they would be had the Pirelli tires were more forgiving to their car eating them for breakfast […]

montreal95 commented on the post, Massa says Ferrari still need to improve in qualifying 2 days, 12 hours ago
@ecwdanselby While some may have over-estimated the 2010 season, you went to the other extreme. I can easily name 10 2010 races which weren’t boring so no majority there. These were: Australia, Malaysia, China, […]

montreal95 commented on the post, Ricciardo has upper hand at Toro Rosso – Marko 6 days ago
@vettel1 If it was age, then how his 2012 was markedly better than 2011? Mark’s one of the fittest drivers in the paddock and at 36, he’s younger than some relatively recent world champions such as Mansell and […]

@vettel1 Depends on what you mean by upgraded? If you mean a dutiful number 2 to SV then yes. If you think Ricciardo will be closer on pace to SV than MW is though, then you might be disappointed

@vettel1 By Ricciardo shown the door, you mean at the end of 2014 at RBR?
If Webber won’t leave RBR things will get very complicated indeed. This whole news article is being generated by Dr. Marko to spur his […]

Regarding Wickens, he’s been very solid in his rookie DTM season with a second tier car, though he didn’t always have results to show for it. This year he received a current spec car and immediately qualified in […]

@vettel1 I agree that AFC’s rate of improvement has been impressive. But also we shouldn’t forget that 2012 was his team Adren Caterham’s first season of WSbR. So naturally they were finding their feet at the […]

@vettel1 I perfectly understand you may have a personal preference for AFC. However facts doesn’t back that up. Looking back at their junior careers I cannot understand why AFC has better potential than JEV? When […]

The same JA who was beaten in qualy by Buemi? Never was impressed with him. Being a tire-hugger doesn’t make him a superstar :)

montreal95 commented on the post, Ricciardo has upper hand at Toro Rosso – Marko 6 days, 15 hours ago
@vettel1 Why? What did Felix Da Costa do in his career, that JEV didn’t? Really overhyped based on half a season really. Not saying he’s not good but he doesn’t deserve to take JEV’s seat yet

Excellent article by Will Buxton. Everyone moaning about the tires should read it very very carefully. That’s me included because I’ve also had criticized them after the race before actually realizing that Ferrari […]

montreal95 commented on the post, Rate the race: 2013 Spanish Grand Prix 1 week, 2 days ago
Gave it a 5. The track that was boring already had been ruined by the most rubbish final sector on the calendar except Abu Dhabi. The balance is wrong tire-wise. Not much at all was right at this race. It gets as […]

@beneboy No need for apologies for a well thought out and intelligent reply. However this has consequences. In order to reply accordingly, one must have some spare time, which I didn’t have those past few days. So […]

@beneboy Then the V12′s or the 4-litre double turbo charged V8′s of the modern supercars are an old design in your view? I bring this example because we’re talking engines here(see COTD), but there are also […]

montreal95 commented on the post, Kubica only looking for F1 return 2 weeks, 3 days ago
Disagree completely with COTD. Since when F1 needs to be road-relevant? Was it ever? AFAIK no. Some technologies leaked from F1 to road cars, yes. But never before road technologies leaked to formula 1. I mean […]

Great article Keith, but a couple of minor points I need to point out:
1) You make it sound as if Prost missed out on pole because of Arnoux. He didn’t. Even if Prost could have bridged the 8 tenths deficit on […]

@andae23 How do you know how “Rush” portraits them? AFAIK Hunt and Lauda were rivals on the track but not enemies off it and had huge respect for one another. There were some tensions between them at various times […]
