F1 Games 1 month, 1 week agoThe BMW 320si is one of the most difficult cars in the game to drive quickly I find. The Caterhams and the WTCC ’87 cars are great fun though.

Steam has made managing software much more simple, and will even update your video drivers for you. And the RACE/GTREvo series and their add-ons are all about 7 years old now so will run […]

Off-topic 6 months agoRaced him once on an online sim, was the quickest driver by far, up to a second a lap quicker than other guys who race in real life too.
Isn’t at the front in the Clio Cup, but it is a super competitive series […]

MuzzleFlash replied to the forum topic BTCC adds soft tyre gimmick in the group
British Touring Car Championship 6 months, 1 week agoI used to argue that touring car racing is an ‘impure’ form of motorsport (as opposed to single seaters) and so lends itself more to measures intended to artifically add excitement, but the BTCC passed my […]

F1 6 months, 1 week agoLooks like they’ve still left a strip of grass between the exit kerb and the tarmac expanse, which I think is the best compromise.
Anyone who blows a braking zone will meet it head on, go straight over grass […]

MuzzleFlash replied to the forum topic Brazilian Formula Truck accident in the group
Off-topic 7 months, 1 week agoUnless I’ve done something silly, a Formula 1 car would have to be traveling at 380mph to have the same amount of energy as that truck. And 1000mph (Mach 1.3) to have the same amount of momentum.

Off-topic 7 months, 1 week agoShocking indeed, and a good example of why racing trucks are limited to 100mph in the UK.
Seems as though he may have been trying to pitch it into a roll on the grass, but there’s no stopping that much momentum.

It’s a corner, the cars slow down for corners.
The cars ahead of Webber slow down the same amount, it only looks like Mark was slow because Grosjean didn’t slow down, his car even starts to understeer just […]

Unnecessary, but I rather like the idea.
It’ll be like each driver having his own sashimono.

MuzzleFlash commented on the post, Should drivers get grid drops for gearbox changes? 8 months ago
“You can’t see the team as separate from the driver.”
But the sport itself does so, by having two separate championships for teams and drivers.
I agree in principle though, the drivers are just another two […]

Is crashing not as commonplace these days in rallying?
I haven’t followed it since the McRae days, when you’d expect drivers to retire from maybe half the season.

Just be careful if it’s a front wheel, those got narrower in 2010, and you wouldn’t want one which doesn’t fit.
