Wow! I never saw this one coming in 2016 at least. I knew with the reasons mentioned above, it was inevitable having already trimmed their entries from three cars to two at Le Mans for both Audi and Porsche but their exit in 2016 itself is truly a bombshell.

This will create too many LMP1 drivers with only two teams. I really enjoyed three manufacturers in WEC but we are back to two again and honestly, it won’t be the same without Audi.

@KeithCollantine I see why you did it but it’s funny to what extent you’ve to go to stop some daft critics :D

Personally, I like it. We got one of The Images of the 2015 Bahrain GP with Nico and Seb fighting and Lewis coming out of the pits.

    Sparkling overtake

I know there are quite a few people complaining about artificial methds to create sparks but I just ignore them as I believe that some people are meant to complain, always!

Well many are and would be of the opinion that Donnigton 1993 was the greatest lap ever. In my opinion, people under-estimate the first lap of Fernando Alonso in Hungary 2006 on one of the most difficult tracks to overtake on. His drive was spectacular. It was in my opinion, not only the greatest opening lap ever but the greatest drives of all time, even better than Donnigton 1993.

    So, that’s the one!

Well off season provides me with an opportunity to catch up on some of the series that usually i miss out during the season. I watched F3, GP3 and also rewind on WEC and Formula 1 DVDs. Waiting for my 2014 blu ray though.

Well I live in India and naturally don’t have such luxuries of having such coverage in India. Hence, I’ve to adopt to illegal ways of catching up, whether it is MotoGP and FR 3.5 on BT or WEC on Motors TV or F1 on Sky.

Senna Week is a good concept by SkySports F1 and they have packed in the programs fairly well.

    The Last Team Mate:

Was good in my opinion. It was interesting to know Damon’s side of the story as well as David’s (not a lot unfortunately) and they gave it a better touch by visiting Imola and walking on the track and even discuss Ruben’s accident. The coverage of the whole San Marino ’94 weekend was pretty good. You can almost feel the heaviness around that track and it immersed me into it. For a while, I couldn’t stop thinking about Senna.

    Journalist’s Special:

Frankly, for me it was a let down. I’d lots of expectations from that. A few points that I didn’t like,

    1. Simon Lazenby as a host was a strict no-no. It was evident that he really hasn’t followed the sport much and seemed to have studied Senna for this show. Also the way he kept on jumping from one Senna story to another without a proper rhythm wasn’t pleasing. It was as if like in the end, the viewer could hardly connect to dots from that one hour show.

    2. With some well renowned guests, I was expecting some more interesting stories to come out of the discussion in regards to Senna – Prost or Senna – Balestre and other great and some controversial moments. Instead the show was largely dominated by their opinions on Senna which didn’t really make it that interesting. I almost disconnected myself mentally after about 25 mins. Partly I can blame the host for not setting up a rhythm nor asking interesting questions but it turned disappointing for me.

Now, I am definitely looking forward to Ted’s Notebook tonight and Ron Dennis on Senna as I feel that both these men will have a lot more interesting things to talk about.

Roland’s Special and the F1 Show – Senna Special, I really don’t have much of an expectation as generally The F1 Show is more of decorations and less on content.

Nice but Valtteri seemed in a hurry. I like the concept but sometimes Rosanna just sticks the mic into the driver’s face and a bit pushy. Mark Webber seemed soooo disinterested.

Actually, you must watch Sutil’s artwork. Detailed and very well made.

@sato113 It was a deflated tire with the rim but at such high speeds, it’s still very dangerous.

It’s a very personal opinion but I believe that the death of Senna in such a tragic fashion had more of an emotional impact on the fans as well as the world who took notice of this genius. Schumacher, Vettel, Alonso can also be termed as greats but the difference is that they’re all still alive so people are more divided amongst fanatics and haters (a bit impolite but true)
