10 years ago, nobody would have forseen Brackley and Red Bull domination in the nearby future.
Imagine what F1 will be like 10 years from now. I suspect that Haas and McLaren-Honda will be dominating; […]

Although the racing wasn’t particularly great during this period of time, there was an enormous sense of anticipation and unpredictability before each race. A feeling that anything could happen. Nowadays […]

I remember it being quite decent. The top 3 were 2s apart in that race. The celebratory mood for Vettel’s title win & Button’s race win may also have helped.
I like the picture of the HRT right below the title.
Nevertheless it does remind you about how just about every one of the “new teams” from 2010 pretty much failed apart from perhaps Virgin/Marussia/Manor, who […]

Same. I would say that F1 lost something after the incredible Brazil 2012 finale. After that, I was never as excited for any other race ever again. F1 rapidly descended in the very tedious second […]

I’d say that F1 was at its peak from 2006 to 2010. We had 5 different champions in 5 consecutive seasons and no one really dominated. After that everything just went downhill.

@alfa145 Rate The Race was cancelled for that race, owing to the way it ended.

Well, he was slower than his dad when they were teammates in 1985, so I don’t think much has changed 30 years later. ;)

Old Nigel first has to fit in the car… F1 cars are much slimmer than those McLaren Mp4/10’s…
I don’t think what he says is that nuts, tho. I was watching Massa’s onboard lap yesterday, that cockpit view […]

I think only 7 drivers have won titles with different engine manufacturers.
Not that surprising I guess given the limited number of multiple champions.
I doubt that would happen. The date for Le Mans is set by the ACO rather than the FIA. It has almost always been the 24th week. The biggest single sports event in the world will not change its date only because […]
Makes no difference. It’s still subjective, based on the appreciation by stewards and also drivers.
It has to be clear: black or white, not grey. 2 complete wheels out of the white line and that’s over the […]

RATE THEIR CARS
– Vettel drove a dominant car in 2011 and 2013.
– Vettel drove the outright best car in 2010 and 2012.
– Vettel drove a car slightly inferior to the best in 2009.
– Vettel drove a capable race winner but not WDC contender in 2014 and 2015.
– Vettel drove a midfield car in 2008.
