yes and back then torro rosso was a decent car, had the same chassis as redbull, Adrian newey designed if I recall correctly
And Red Bull weren’t any good back then. 6th in the constructors, with just 1 […]

No, it finished 8th in the constructors. Officially 7th because Mclaren were disqualified.

What seb doesn’t understand having never had to have a really bad car
Try the 2007 Toro Rosso which Vettel still took to 4th place.

I don’t really know why he has 18% of the votes. He won DOTW in Canada for as similar recovery drive, but at least then his qualifying was down to car issues.
David-A commented on the post, ‘Best possible result’ says Vettel after gaining 11 places 14 hours, 54 minutes ago
Well yeah, because Ric’s 2 retirements were a pitstop screw up and a suspension failure.
And in Canada they screwed up Vettel’s stop which cost him track position over Ricciardo, while in Hungary, […]

Surprised this hasn’t been mentioned yet: Rosberg has matched Alonso’s pole tally (22).
Rosberg has also surpassed 1,000 laps in the lead, the only non-WDC bar Stirling Moss to achieve that.
Vettel has […]

However his tally of 150 is 11 points less than Fernando Alonso managed with last year’s uncompetitive SF14-T
This says a lot about Kimi’s year. Last year, Ferrari was, at best, the 4th best car to have, s […]
Fer no.65 commented on the post, Rosberg denies Hamilton a winning end to his championship year 21 hours, 32 minutes ago
@lepondo No? I never implied that!
He’s worthy. But this isn’t a massive worry for Lewis nor it’s all positive for Rosberg. It’s less negative por Nico and almost the same for Lewis that still had a super year […]
Fer no.65 commented on the post, Rosberg denies Hamilton a winning end to his championship year 21 hours, 34 minutes ago
@bascb I know all that, but I cannot take it the same way. We have nothing to fight for now, it’s certainly not the same. The pressure of a championship fight can change everything.
Maybe he was close during […]

I won’t give credit to Rosberg. He might have the upper hand here, but what does it matter? sure, he enters the winter break in a better mood… yeah, but compared to what? a better mood than being absolutely […]

2010, 2011 and 2013 are not really debatable.
2012 is the only one that is somewhat debatable. McLaren was as fast, maybe even a bit faster than Red Bull. But everything that could have gone wrong for […]
David-A commented on the post, Unhappy Alonso says penalty shows why F1’s popularity is falling 1 day, 11 hours ago
Bottas incident was mostly the team’s fault though. Alonso’s was his own doing.
@optimaximal yeah but don’t you think an illegal move like this one could well be sorted with a time penalty or giving back the position?
Penalty points should act like the next step if a time penalty or grid […]
Fer no.65 commented on the post, Alonso close to fastest lap with “full deployment” 1 day, 14 hours ago
Reminds me of that Project 400 effort at Le Mans 1988 when Welter Racing just went there with a car that could do over 400 km/h before virtually exploding :P.
I don’t know how an illegal move (for some) deserves a point in your license.
Shouldin’t points be handed for serious mistakes, crashes, speeding in the pits, ignoring flags? gaining an advantage isn’t […]
Mercedes 1-2, Ferrari 3-4, Williams 5-6, Red Bull 7-8, Force India 9-10. When was the last time the top 10 were in team formation?
The only thing that shows, IMO, is that the gaps between the teams have been so […]
Kingshark commented on the post, Rosberg makes it six poles in a row despite old engine 2 days, 17 hours ago
Rosberg could quite possibly retire with more poles than anyone else apart from Senna/Schumacher/Vettel/Hamilton (he is currently only 11 behind Clark and Prost). For a guy who will probably never win a WDC, […]
