Nick commented on the post, Verstappen eager to avoid “silly mistakes” after crash 9 hours, 17 minutes ago
@gqsm If you don’t care and don’t know, I guess there isn’t a point in responding, then?
Team Lotus (technical innovations, not afraid to sign a young talent)
Brabham (technical innovations)
Benetton (hip team, great driver line ups)
Prost (refuge for French drivers and I just really liked Alain as team boss)
Minardi (the art of perseverance, great place for rookies)
Jordan (probably the hippest team, great place for rookies and as…[Read more]

While there’s no denying the crash was perhaps more than silly, it’s not really unexpected at this point. I’m sure this is why the Young Driver Tests aren’t around Singapore or Monaco; new drivers getting to grips […]

No joke, @gqsm! Here’s article 1.1 from the 2014 European F3 series rulebook.
No car is to be equipped with a brake pedal or handbrake of any sort. Enginebraking is also disallowed. This is to make sure any […]
Since top 5′s seem to be in order..
5. Arrows A19
The black paintjob is amazingly done, especially because of the white sponsor logos. Its engine cover is unique in modern F1 and the entire car is yet very elegant.
4. Brabham BT52 (1983)
A true radical, it really shows the unique cars of the 80s. They might not have won the championship with it,…[Read more]
A tad late, on the back of some comment at the tail of the BBC broadcast of the Belgium GP, I’ve decided to make a topic on how we view F1 drivers and their influence on F1′s popularity.
Eddie Jordan noted during the broadcast that F1′s ratings are 30% down in Germany, which is sadly based in…[Read more]
I don’t think Button is being rated lower than normal. Plenty of drivers at that stage of their careers became non-entries in Silly Season discussions. It’s often older drivers have fewer places to go (as mid field teams can’t afford them and top teams are focused on proven, yet younger talents) and become less interesting for silly season…[Read more]
Between this one and Hill’s 1998 win at Spa, I do wonder if Damon would be one of the drivers who would have had a lesser standing with fans, had there been radio broadcasts by the FOM back in the day. Jenson […]
The van der Garde rumors have been going on for a while, but he was also rumored to drive for them in Hockenheim and has been linked to Marussia for 2011, and Williams in 2012 and 2013. Frankly, Giedo has Jos Verstappen-like rumors in the Dutch media, rather than Max Verstappen-like rumors.
I doubt Sauber will frop Gutierrez. He has been in front…[Read more]
@junior-pilot I’m pretty sure James Allison, Pat Fry and Nikolas Tombazis are not Italian.
We’re also living in a different world than the late 80s and early 90s. Mattiacci worked in the UK for some time and has dealt with various cultures. Having Italian leadership at Ferrari today is not the same as it was in the 70s or 80s. There is a lot more…[Read more]

@f1indofans The thing is, the board of directors at Daimler, who fund the team, probably disagree. If they can’t use the Mercedes F1 team to sell cars and get a positive brand image for Mercedes, they’re out […]
I’d say it looks just like a track made by a young modder with no regards to scenery or variation..
Ferrari and Red Bull never messed up when having a dominant car, though. You hardly ever saw Ferrari making things more difficult for Schumacher in 2002 or 2004, nor did Red Bull’s policies or strategies ever get […]
“I thought with the two of them, with the way they have previously driven against one another, that it wouldn’t come to this point,” he said.
“But we are at that point and it needs to be managed going […]
