Huge mistake by Red Bull. Nice to see the stewards be consistent, but the ruling in both cases was stupidly harsh. Disqualify the last lap or Q3 entirely, but having the pilot start last is ridiculous.

The 20 second penalty was fair.
Vettel and Red Bull took a bet – they ended up losing 5 points (3rd -> 5th). Not the end of the world. The problem is Alonso winning, not whether they finish 2nd or 3rd or 5th. -

I’m not sure how you can say that Vettel couldn’t do anything especially considering he recovered from 11th to 5th – just one position behind Webber who started 5 places ahead.

Vettel was gifted a position. If he had been gifted a free pit stop, he would have finished first. It ended up saving him probably 5-8 seconds.
