Bahrain was the first race in the 2010 season and Button qualified 8th and finished 7th. Hamilton qualified 3rd a full second ahead of Button and finished the race in 4th.

I love the irony of this post considering the fanatical reaction to Perez beating Button in Bahrain.

If u are doing 4 stops you should be able to be doing qualifying laps the whole race. They were still coasting to do 4 stops!! They’ve gone too far…

This pole position from Hamilton just goes to show how vital he was to the development of the McLaren. I’d bet big money that if Lewis had stayed put, it would be a McLaren on pole for tomorrows race.
