30th March 2016, 13:29 at 1:29 pm #316196AnscombesParticipantHi Josesito
I am not entirely sure what you mean but I think you are asking if you and your friend buy general admission at different times, will you still be able to meet up and watch the racing together – if this is what you are asking then the answer is yes. general admission tickets allow you to walk around and choose a place to watch the race but you will not have a seat so you cannot access any of the grandstands
I hope this helps9th February 2016, 12:15 at 12:15 pm #312212AnscombesParticipantLol! ok Stefan, we will be in a Rapido/Mercedes motorhome! Please come and say “hi” if you see us :)
5th February 2016, 16:03 at 4:03 pm #312145AnscombesParticipantIts our 25th Anniversary so as we love F1 and not really a big fan of arranging parties, we decided to do 4. We have been to Silverstone 4 years on the trot, staying at woodlands, we absolutely love it! We bought a Motorhome just over a year ago and will do Spa and Monza using that – first time using it in Europe so that should be interesting! Hungary and Austria are both ones we will look to do the following year. Wow you have been doing this for some time Mick but I do agree, the thought of not going to Silverstone just isn’t really an option
3rd February 2016, 12:28 at 12:28 pm #312086AnscombesParticipantThanks Mick. Have been to Spa before but as GA so this time we opted for grandstand seats as it killed me carting everything around to find a decent spot! You are right about the site next to the Monza track but we have now booked with the camping F1 site so all sorted. Really excited for this year as we are doing 4 GPs in total – cant wait for it all to begin!
1st February 2016, 12:50 at 12:50 pm #312018AnscombesParticipantThanks Stefan, CampingF1 all booked. I checked but they dont run the campsite next to the track. I think that one is predominantly Italians so have opted for the Camping F1 instead – really looking forward to it
1st February 2016, 12:47 at 12:47 pm #312017AnscombesParticipantreally looking forward to this! Going to 4 GPs this year and this one is the biggy! Staying in Nice and have seats in Casino Square – counting off the days!
1st February 2016, 12:45 at 12:45 pm #312016AnscombesParticipantYep going to this one too. Did GA several years ago but I was exhausted as its such a long and hilly track, trying to find best spot, carrying chairs, booze, food etc was a real mission. Have got grandstand tickets this time round. Camping in Stavelot too so really looking for to it
27th January 2016, 10:38 at 10:38 am #311840AnscombesParticipantYour general admission ticket for Friday I believe will allow you to access most of the grandstands except Club Silverstone. Might be worth a quick call to them to double check
11th January 2016, 13:56 at 1:56 pm #311316AnscombesParticipantThanks Stefan, we have been looking at campingf1 and the main Monza site, next to the track. Neither are able to take the booking as yet so just waiting on them. The camping f1 is a little bit away from the track and as we have a motorhome, we were a little unsure about getting to and from the track each day. What do you normally do….
7th January 2016, 10:00 at 10:00 am #311186AnscombesParticipantWe are also going to the 2016 Italian Grand Prix and cant wait. Does anyone know the best campsite to use.
The main circuit campsite doesn’t seem to be open until March but just wondered if anybody had recommendations at all. We have a motorhome so ideally need electric too- thanks4th July 2012, 12:17 at 12:17 pm #205029AnscombesParticipantWell its supposed to thunder tomorrow afternoon!!! Mind you, we went to Spa last year and that was pouring with rain too!
4th July 2012, 11:56 at 11:56 am #204814AnscombesParticipantMe too Tom, sounds like its going to be a right stressy affair. I can see lots of angry people getting worked up about having to carry their stuff from the car park, to their designated pitches. I am soo looking forward to this weekend, but this part is really worrying me. I am not the strongest of women but cant expect my husband to carry everything! Especially if its some distance. Think I may need earplugs for the arrival at the camping rather than the racing!!
4th July 2012, 11:50 at 11:50 am #205027AnscombesParticipantReally anxious now, as not sure about carrying all our camping stuff from the car park to the pitch. Getting muddy is one thing, but this is sounding like a right nightmare
27th June 2012, 21:36 at 9:36 pm #181461AnscombesParticipantThanks again Jonathan. 8×8 is ample for our tent.
One further question …does anyone know what time the Woodlands camp site opens on Thursday or Friday mornings. It opens at 7am Wednesday but wasnt sure what time they allow new arrivals on the other days. - AuthorPosts
