If anybody is unable/unwilling to purchase the Megane pack (which is fair enough) we can just replace them with some monstrous Clio V6s, beefed up to ridiculous standards :)
I think single-model races would work best, there will be inevitable discussions about which of the two cars is best and we’ll spend the season endlessly retuning to match the cars up. Better to have a couple of Renault 5 bonus events methinks (eg. at Le Mans Bugatti).
Definitely up for a long GT2 race.
This season we’re racing Silverstone Club and GP, so technically it’ll be a brand new circuit ;)
Plus… ITS SILVERSTONE! I’d only trade it for Brands Hatch.

For the Renault calendar I thought long we should do a different circuit each week, racing Twingos, Clios then Meganes. It’d give it a proper WSR format feel. Three races each week, eight weeks, 24 races in total.
Each night the races get longer and the cars get quicker, giving the meganes a real main event status.
Gonna have to raise my hand an confess a former WoW addiction too, clean for about four years now! Thats the trouble with it, it just takes over. I do quite miss it and both Jem and I know that she’d love it too if she tried it – which is the reason we never will.
On the topic of girls gaming, Jem plays quite a bit (she spazzes out quite a lot with each new Skyrim video, its great). I play a LOT more than she does and yet her gamerscore is less than 3k behind mine… She used to play Forza as it goes. We should set up a RRRWAGs race for her, Miss Peach and co…
Anyway, back on topic, vee8 says he will try to make it for tonights race so potentially we have our stand-in. For next week let’s figure out who can’t attend well in advance… :)

Ahh I see, no problem, it saves me trying to figure out what the ideal pressures are. Setups aren’t exactly my forté anyway!
Stock yes but you can fiddle with the pressures, which has helped slightly. Still 1.8s off though, amazing laptimes!
Those Maple Valley times are astonishing, did you guys do anything with the setup to achieve those 40s? Are any of you using a wheel?

All this talk of cones has got me thinking and I’ve either had the best or worst idea in history. Do you think it would be possible, using a cone and an appropriate course/area, to have a really disjointed but workable top gear style game of ‘car football’. Might be a fun way to bridge the gap between seasons.
What do you think? At best it could work, at worst it will be a hilarious disaster…
lol no chance, I enjoy painting the cars as much as the driving (or in last weeks case, more than!)
Thanks again for the Clio, its much appreciated. The WSR idea is excellent and I’d definitely be happy to buy the Megane Cup pack (as a sidenote, some of my best online racing memories are from the Meganes on rFactor a few years back). It also ties in with an idea I was going to suggest (well, insist on) – all future seasons should open with a Twingo race at Ladera as a tribute to our origins.
Watching the F. Renault 3.5s last weekend it occured to me it’d be a perfect single seater for them to stick in Forza 4 – maybe in the future we can run the full WSR package…
As we’re now half way through the season, we should start a ‘Season 2 ideas’ page on the wiki.
