pH commented on the post, Will Mercedes escape sanction at FIA Tribunal? 8 hours, 51 minutes ago
Most comments seem to be jumping to conclusions big time. It definitely is _not_ clear that Mercedes broke any regulations. Did Ham & Ros ran their 2013 car? Yes. Is there any regulation prohibiting it? […]

I can understand it. I believe that if he were second without making that mistake at the end, he would have been much happier, it’s the knowledge that he could have done better that burns irrespective of the final outcome.

pH commented on the post, Why a former F1 mechanic believes Mercedes’ secret test “was a huge advantage” 2 weeks ago
It seems like I am the only one who actually read this article. Pretty much every part in the article starts with a big and crucial IF: If Mercedes bolted on new parts, if Mercedes bolted on sensors, if Mercedes […]

pH commented on the post, FIA expands tyre test investigation to include Ferrari 2 weeks, 4 days ago
I may all go down to legal hair-splitting. What is testing? If by testing we mean a team running its car and getting data on it, then Mercedes need not be guilty, if it turns out that they indeed obtained no data […]

pH commented on the post, Red Bull and Ferrari protest Mercedes over tyre test 3 weeks, 2 days ago
According to Mercedes, they obtained no data on tires from Pirelli. The right question is, did they obtain any data on their car? Since they are not dummies, I expect that they were careful not to even try. If […]

pH replied to the forum topic All F1 cars wallpapers in the group
F1 1 month agoWhat cars are you missing?
Majority of cars from the 1950′s :-). However, it should be noted that a typical missing car ran in only one GP, typically Indy, often not even finishing. One could call them […]

pH started the forum topic All F1 cars wallpapers in the group
F1 1 month agoThe short Story:
What: All (almost) F1 cars, sorted by seasons and ordered by their standings in the Constructor’s cup.
How: A series of wallpapers. A nice idea is to use them as a screensaver (slideshow mode). […] -
pH commented on the post, Kubica only looking for F1 return 1 month, 2 weeks ago
I do not quite get the cry for more engine manufacturers at this stage. What would we lose if we ended up with, say, two engine manifacturers?
Less competition? Since the engine freeze we did not see any […] -

Well English is not my native language, but I would expect that “the country concerned” actually refers to “a particular country” mentioned in the same sentence before, which would definitely […] -
pH commented on the post, MPs repeat call for Bahrain Grand Prix cancellation 2 months ago
In the second trailer we hear Hunt blaming himself for contributing to Lauda’s accident, and Lauda telling him that he was also responsible for his return. The conversation feels like friends talking, not bitter […]

pH commented on the post, Moss doubts women have “mental aptitude” for F1 2 months ago
Quite frankly, I quite do not understand all the flak Moss is catching. What did he say?
1. They are strong enough,
2. he doubts they have mental capacity for close fights,
3. he doesn’t think they have […] -

Miki Lauda promised Commandante to remain in Ferrari as long as the old man would want him a year (IIRC) before he left in a hurry (he did not even finish the last season properly), one of the more famous moments […]

When I compare the old and new versions, I have to say I am amazed at how much better the Lola-Mastercard livery looks on a new car. I found it rather bland back then, but the new version is just great. Perhaps it […]

pH commented on the post, Raikkonen says Lotus can rival wealthier teams 3 months ago
I was not trying to suggest patronizing on your side, I appologize if it sounded that way. Rather, I was obliquely (and tongue-in-cheek) referring to oft repeated observations that to appreciate F1, one should […]

pH commented on the post, McLaren confirm Lowe to leave at end of year 3 months, 3 weeks ago
I liked the suggestions that Mercedes is trying to win in 2014 by making sure other teams will be left without key personnel, but then I thought, what if it is the other way around? What if top teams worry about […]
