PJA commented on the post, Vote for your 2013 Spanish GP driver of the weekend 4 days, 8 hours ago
I voted for Alonso, another great start and opening laps put him in a position to dominate his home GP.
Other drivers who I thought had a good weekend, in no particular order, were Raikkonen, Massa, di Resta, […]

I only gave it a 6, there were a few moments of excitement but overall I found it quite dull.

PJA commented on the post, Vote for your 2013 Bahrain GP driver of the weekend 3 weeks, 5 days ago
There were quite a few drivers who I thought had a good weekend but in the end I gave it to Vettel as he just seemed to be in total control during the race, just like Alonso in the last Grand Prix.
The other […]

I gave it 7.5 (rounded up to an 8) the same as the previous two races. Early on I though it seemed a bit dull and was set to give it a 6 but then there was quite a bit of action, mainly involving Perez, so I […]

PJA commented on the post, Vote for your 2013 Chinese GP Driver of the Weekend 1 month ago
It has to be Alonso for me, he just seemed to be in control the whole race. I loved the team radio when Ferrari told him not to push and he said he wasn’t, then the fastest lap for Alonso caption came on screen […]

I rated it the same as the Malaysian GP 7.5 rounded up to an eight.
It was a good race but there were a few things I didn’t like which almost brought my rating down.
With DRS and the significance of the […]

It looks like I have missed voting in this poll.
I thought it was a hard choice which is why I delayed voting and ending up not voting in time. For what it’s worth I think I would have voted for […]

I enjoyed it better than the Australian GP so I rated Malaysia as a 7.5 rounded up to an 8, it’s a shame Mercedes didn’t put enough fuel in the cars or we could have had a more interesting end to the race.

PJA commented on the post, Vote for your 2013 Australian Grand Prix driver of the weekend 1 month, 4 weeks ago
Probably the obvious choice but I voted for Raikkonen, looked after his tyres and pushed when he need to, I also felt he could have gone quicker if needed.
Second choice would be Bianchi who put in an […]

Almost forgot to enter vote in rate the race and driver of the weekend.
I gave it a 7, I thought it was a good race but nothing special, as is the case now most of the overtakes don’t really impress me as they […]

PJA commented on the post, Who will win the battle of the team mates in 2013? 2 months ago
I seem to have picked the same as most of the readers of the site, judging from the current poll results.
I think the closest will be Force India but Sutil will edge it.
Toro Rosso will also be close but I […]

Five teams

PJA commented on the post, Which team has the best driver line-up for 2013? 2 months ago
As the question is which team has the best two drivers rather than the best pairing, I think Red Bull just edge it, with Mercedes second.

PJA commented on the post, Which team has the best-looking car of 2013? 2 months ago
Bit late to comment but here’s my thoughts.
I still don’t like the step noses so all those cars are at the bottom of my list. I do like how Sauber have dealt with it but I am not convinced by the livery, in […]

PJA commented on the post, BBC confirm ten live free-to-air races for 2013 4 months, 4 weeks ago
That’s a shame as while I would like a someone who is a good presenter fronting the BBC coverage I would also like them to be a F1 fan who is knowledgeable about the sport.

I am not that bothered by not having Monaco live as there are other races I would pick before it, such as Canada, however when the BBC/Sky deal was first announced last year I thought the BBC said they would […]

PJA commented on the post, “Grand Prix Who’s Who” fourth edition reviewed 5 months ago
I am probably a bit late in asking this but when does this book go up to, does it go include all of the 2012 season, part of it or just up to the end of 2011?
The reason I ask is that Amazon states this was […]

PJA commented on the post, F1 Fanatic readers’ top ten most-purchased gifts 2012 5 months ago
It would have been on my list of books to get but for the fact it only lists the top 6 finishers for each race.
Because of that it means I will only likely buy it if I see it heavily discounted.

PJA commented on the post, Vote for the best F1 driver of 2012 5 months ago
It has to be Alonso, to be so close to the title despite the Ferrari only being about the third best car.
I normally have trouble selecting an order for the best drivers of the year, but this year the top […]

I had a short list of four drivers for my driver of the weekend Button, Hulkenberg, Massa and Vettel.
Button and Hulkenberg stayed on dry tyres when everyone else pitted for intermediates early in the race and […]
