Why can’t there be 1 car teams ??? Richer teams are trying to exploit the circumstances by asking for 3 car teams . Prize money should be given to all teams at the end of the season , not just the top 10.

“therefore are not on the same level as Ferrari – not even close. “
That’s probably explains why they have the most technologically advanced F1 car to their name – FW 15 C. So badass that they even had to ban untested stuff like CVT .
In the league of Porsche 917 and Lancia Delta S4 – big daddies .
I don’t dislike Ferrari . I just dislike their present attitude to the sport .

You’ve mentioned nothing new other than the points i’ve mentioned in my post , on the previous page .
Michelin runners might have ” hugely benefited ” from the Tyre rule changes , but don’t forget the fact that the Bridgestones were specifically designed for Ferrari . That was not the case with the teams Michelin was supplying to .
They lost the 2005 season because Renault had stepped up their game , while Ferrari was struggling with their Bridgestones . Anyway Michelin was forced out of the door in 2006 .
Is this the only anti Ferrari rule change that you can come up with out of the 61 years the team has existed in the sport ?
12th July 2011, 16:08 at 4:08 pm #174041rabbitParticipantI would like to know which rule changes you are talking about !
The new aero rules only made it harder for following cars . The only thing that was hurting them was the new Tyre rules , where Michelin had an advantage . No problemo , they were kicked out post 2006 : )
I find your claims especially amusing as Ferrari have had special veto ,on major technical changes .
12th July 2011, 15:59 at 3:59 pm #174039rabbitParticipantAnd the amount Ferrari was fined for team orders – $100,000 , half of what a brand new Ferrari California , the lowest car in their range costs .
$100000000 – The amount EXTORTED from McLaren for ALLEGEDLY spying .
Whenever other teams start dominating rules are changed so that they are slowed down . Williams in 93, Renault mass dampers in 2006 , Complaints over Double Deck Diffusers , Exhaust blown diffusers now . Why didn’t I see any such thing happening when Ferrari were on a winning streak ?
12th July 2011, 14:57 at 2:57 pm #174024rabbitParticipant” For me Ferrari are the only real F1 team; they’re not just racing in F1 for marketing purposes “
Ever heard of Williams F1 ? They race purely for the love of racing . I can give you several other examples . Take the Peter Connew Motor Racing Team –> http://62.149.36.46/~bruce/cgi-bin/story1.htm
They are real F1 , buddy .
” Team-orders, team orders. Don’t forget Red Bull have just used them and McLaren did in the first race of 1998. “
Team orders were banned in 2002 and the ban was revoked since this season . So what Red Bull and McLaren did is perfectly legal , unlike Ferrari .
12th July 2011, 9:10 at 9:10 am #173999rabbitParticipantFerrari is a great team with a rich history . I have great admiration and respect for Enzo Ferrari . He sold cars so that he could race . But now Ferrari races so that it can sell its cars . Their attitude to win at any cost doesn’t help either .

31st March 2011, 15:56 at 3:56 pm #165713rabbitParticipantPossible reasons :
1.No racing culture
2.Poor infrastructure for development at grassroots level
3.Dearth of sponsorship
What intrigues me more is , why no Italian driver has won the world championship since Ascari in 1953 .

So that makes him the devil eh ?
Bottom-line , both were ridiculously quick cars for their time . So fast that the rules were changed to slow them down . Foresee the same happening with Red Bull in the future .

Team orders are of course legal now ,and will ‘ benefit everyone ‘
