No idea about collecting tickets – but there has generally I’ve only seen one box office open, which is on the pit straight side. There’s also only been a few car parks open – and the circuit is pretty well signposted from the E15. I’ve only ever approached on foot and bought tickets on day, so not fully clear of all the details

I loved the whole weekend. Having visited Austin many times before, I knew the town would be great. They rose to the occasion brilliantly. Then the transport worked, the volunteers on circuit and elsewhere were lovely, security was fine (as in not too nitpicky), the facilities at the circuit were generally Ok and the track looked wonderful and delivered a great race to watch. The fans were crazy and provided a great atmosphere. Fully recommend going to the event!!!
All my photos are on Flickr – they include the FOTA Fan Forum, a business event on the Thursday and 3 days at the track. As there were roaming seats for practices (all 3), got some shots from T1, although most were from T12, my seat for the race. I’ve also got some paddock/garage shots following a tour from Santander on the Sunday.

I didn’t actually experience bad traffic. On the first day, cycled, but too many hills for me and a poor cycle shuttle service meant we tried the buses for the rest of the weekend. By being on the first set of buses out and leaving the circuit pretty sharpish, we avoided all traffic. Journey time was about 40 mins max. I saw reports of long queues for buses and slightly longer journeys, but no real problems.
Looking forward to this! I’m at T12, row 15. Luckily my ex-boss lives in Austin so staying with him – far better than paying the extortionate hotel prices! Also all the other things they seem to keep trying to overcharge for, like the parking
Hi PJ, the Paddock Club is usually based above the pitlane. You get a view across the pitlane (thus the start as well) plus often a view across the Paddock – you don’t get Paddock access itself. You do get lunchtime pitlane walks available to you.
Inside, it’s usually pretty corporate, as most people are there either as guests of sponsors or teams. You would get open bar, full meals and snacks available and things like ice-cream. In addition, there is entertainment such as simulators, spas, tv etc. Dress code was pretty smart, but i got access via a competition on the day and was dressed in waterprooofs/fleeces etc, and they had no problem with that. I’d definitely take up the tickets
