Van Overbeeke’s closed cockpiet concept is alright but not my cup of tea. The Red Bull and Williams concepts he produced previously fit the bill for 2017 possibilities, all be it designed for style sake in some areas.
I see a recurring theme here. Most of the liveries you people have chosen as your favourites are cigarette packets on wheels.
Those five steps cover what I was going to suggest. But realistically for any of that to happen would be if one person or a group of wealthy people were to buy F1 off CVC. It would be hefty purchase granted, but if the new owners weren’t as money hungry as CVC then perhaps maybe the billions of dollars this business generates could be used more wisely.
Here’s an idea.
Honda and Ron Dennis argue over how the McLaren should look for 2015. Honda want it red & white like the old cigarette sponsored cars but Ron refuses and whats them still grey / chrome. While the bickering ensues Fernando and Jenson sneakily paint the car orange like ol’ Bruce’s cars, feeling smug and proud of their slightly shoddy handywork.
I’ll hold out til the Steam Christmas sales if I’m going to get this. Because unfortunately like the infamous CoD franchise this game is the next in a series of copy paste jobs with some areas touched up or masked over to make it look slightly different from its predecessor.
I have a soft spot for a few of the Prost cars with their royal blue paint scheme along with with the all black Arrows A19. The McLaren MP4-16 is also another one of my favourites as I have a scaled replica of the car in my possession.
The aesthetics of the current cars aerodynamics still don’t please me and it’s not just the phallus noses I’m referring to.
Triskaidekaphobics are probably having a field day with his choice of driver number. Although us ‘normal’ people know it has nothing to do with superstitions but more due to the un-competitiveness of the car Lotus has produced and Pastor’s mentality or adaptability which so far have proven sub-par especially compared to teammate Romain Grosjean.
Superchargers are generally inferior to turbochargers so I don’t see the engine manufacturers ever jumping ship to mechanically driven pressure charging anytime soon.
Entries for this round have proven slow. Guess I’ll end it and decide a winner before this thread soon plummets into the murky depths of the archives. Ahem…
