The PC game Grand Prix 3 had a great intro song, Furious Angels by Rob Dougan:
@sam3110 Yes it is stretching it a bit but I wouldn’t be suprised if it was intentional, it’s pretty much all they can get away with these days after the furore over the barcode logo a few years ago.
They are definitely using the Ferrari association in their advertising in some countries:
Good old subliminal advertising! Is it me or is the rear engine cover paint scheme (the black part) of the current Ferrari reminiscent of the old Marlboro McLaren paint scheme?
@Rodney @Jonathan How about wins gained by disqualifications and then lost after appeal! Gerhard Berger declared winner of Brazil 1995 due to fuel irregularities in Schumacher and Coulthards cars only for Schumacher and Coulthard to be reinstated after appeal.
Not related to disqualifications but also thought of Brazil 2003 when Fisichella was declared the winner after lap count back.
I always find it strange to think Martin Brundle drove for Williams at Spa 1988, he was their test driver at the time and Mansell had chicken pox.
+1’s for ING Renault and 2011 HRT
Colour obviously dictated by the cigarette company but yuk!
It’s from their ‘filming day’ in February. Those girls must have been cold in those outfits!
My favourite guest interviewer has to be Arnie this year!!
Jerez 1997, smiles all round!
@stigrennfahrer Didn’t start watching F1 till 1995, would love to have seen the 80’s turbo era live! But I do remember the film, this version of the music wasn’t in the film but the melody is. Quite random but a great choice of music, just as perfect as The Chain!
Don’t know if it’s definitive but there’s a list on Wikipedia: link
Suprised to see Maldonado on there…
A few I like:
I’ll go for 3 times race winner Thierry Boutsen
+1 for Spa 1998, hilarious! The first race I watched was Monza 1995, i’ll never forget Hill taking off Schumacher and running over to confront him and I thought this Formula 1 is pretty exciting stuff!!
