We already have as you say:
” a 2 fold championship with 3-4 big teams who develop cars and win most of the prizes. And then the field filling outfits who are lucky to get on the podium once in a while.”
So […]

Well @bascb I guess you are against customer cars as a method to help the lower teams and bring new teams in. One man’s wine is another man’s poison!
As for a grid of RB6′s then I guess that might be a bit […]

I don’t agree with you @bascb that customer cars could only be provided by non-participants. It depends on how the rules were be framed. It also depends on how important you think it is to retain the smaller teams […]

To most casual observers it might as well be a single make championship. paint all the cars the same colour and you’d be hard pushed to tell the difference. Anyone who thinks F1 isn’t too expensive is quite […]

I think you misunderstand the concept of customer cars. Your analysis leans towards the idea of junior or sister teams. That’s exactly what we don’t need need for the reasons you state.
Customer cars are off […]

Q: Should a team that comes 11th get prize money?
A: Of course not!!!Q: Should F1 be so expensive that there are only ten teams that can afford it?
A: of course not!!!Q: Will customer cars allow for a […]

Sean N commented on the post, Were Red Bull & Mercedes right to use team orders? 2 months, 3 weeks ago
Well I suppose strictly speaking nothing, certainly if you assume Horner and the Red Bull Management is in charge. I just thought it was noting (tongue in cheek) that before deciding if Red Bull were correct to […]

I always thought Horner was Vettels boss! Apparently he is not. If Horner was the boss all he had to do when Vettel had passed Webber was to have asked Vettel to let Webber back past…. situation solved. […]

I actually originally suggested it way before way before Max did and then it was a little tongue in cheek to illustrate what an intractable situation we have with F1 and team orders. Of course back then the lap […]

I absolutely hate drivers being told not to race but how can you police a ban on team orders that affect race results? The simple answer is you can’t and you shouldn’t. Certainly not with the current […]

Great to see more women in motor sport at any level. I hope we don’t get too PC though and start getting ‘grid guys’ holding the boards on the grid.
By the way did anyone see Simona de Silvestro’s strong […]

Sean N commented on the post, Pirelli unmoved by Red Bull tyre complaints 2 months, 3 weeks ago
I feel really sorry for Pirelli here. They have done exactly what they were asked to do by the governing body and look at all the flak they take for it. If I were them I’d be long gone… and who’d take […]

His Friday test times were regularly faster than Maldonado’s AND he kept the car on the road more often. Once he’s settled in and got a few races under his belt he’ll be a man to watch. Many of those within […]

Bottas will blow Maldonado away. It will be hard for Williams to break into the top four but they continue the trend of producing better and better cars they won’t have trouble attracting sponsors and top line […]

Why do the F1 rights cost so much? Who’s getting all the money?
Bernie Ecclestone has ruined the sport I once loved. I’m so sad.

I reckon Alonso is maybe 2-1 for the drivers championship but I think they’ll struggle to finish in the four in the Constructors.

Read my comment above. Pirelli are a fantastic company who have been a honorable servant to F1 the last few years. The have consistently produced the tyres the rule makers have asked and in doing so risked the […]
