The last 3 champions didn’t light the world on fire.
Sure Palmer had a brilliant season. But only after a few seasons of GP2 that weren’t that great.
He had a super season with the best team.
Then Vandoorne is more exciting as he light up the grid in FR3.5 and GP2 as a rookie in what isn’t the best team for the last few years (ever since pirelli…[Read more]
SoLiDG commented on the post, Is F1 stewarding improving? Analysing 2014’s penalties 1 week, 5 days ago
Indeed, I agree completely. Just think back to the spa victory they stole from Hamilton.
Also the inclusion of a 5sec penalty which can be served with a pitstop or added to your time, is a great penalty. It is […]

If you saw his interview after the abudhabi race you wouldn’t have said this.
He said it straight out of the box that he really wants to keep #44 if Mercedes let him.
He really likes it and it has nothing todo […]
SoLiDG commented on the post, FIA to block future Verstappens with new F1 age limit 1 month, 3 weeks ago
A sensible thing to do. Altough I’m sure Max will do a fine job, he’s impressive!
I do wonder if the points system will exclude lesser pay drivers wich noone likes.
SoLiDG commented on the post, Losing title on double points “would suck” – Hamilton 2 months, 4 weeks ago
I bet they will. They won’t want to lose out in the last round with double points.
It could mean millions in price money.

The race wasn’t good at all. But the track deserves some credit. The tyres ruined a good race. They where too good. Best cars in position means no action. Reminder of the schumi/bridgestone domination.

One uneventfull race. But maybe that’s what F1 just needed after Suzuka!
It does remind us to be thankfull for the work Pirelli does. Tyres that are too good
results in boring races, and we ain’t used to it […]
SoLiDG commented on the post, Covered cockpits may be reconsidered after Bianchi crash 3 months, 2 weeks ago
The closed cockpits could be a plus for safety.. But I can’t shake the idea it wouldn’t have helped Bianchi in this crash. It was a (n avoidable) freak accident, but with lessons to be learned. How much we do hate […]

Hope that is true, would be very very good news!

SoLiDG commented on the post, Hamilton vs Rosberg: How reliability has decided team mates’ title battles 5 months, 1 week ago
In the beginning of his F1 days he had great reliability so I’m sure that isn’t the case.
Just look at the Australian grand prix, just plain bad bad luck.
SoLiDG commented on the post, Pirelli can “live with” more than 20 races per year 5 months, 2 weeks ago
Very sad that this happened.
It wasn’t very smart to run on the racetrack.
But what is most shocking is his outfit, a night race, a brown undeground, black car, black racesuit and a black helmet!
My guess is […]
SoLiDG commented on the post, Bottas aiming for wins during second half of season 6 months, 1 week ago
It’s true that Lewis always finds excuses.. But it’s just Lewis not being able to keep these things to himself. That’s the main difference between most of the grid.
And let’s be fair, he has a point. Clearcut SC!
Except for the excessive asphalt run-off areas. If there was a gravel trap there, the accident wouldn’t have happened the way it did. And drivers would not complain about track limits as much either.
I get what […]
