Pennyroyal tea commented on the post, Button wants McLaren to emulate Ferrari’s 2012 fightback 2 months ago
@solidg Lol you got it the other way around it. if the 2 DRS zones are set one after the other you want to have a single detection zone because that enables overtaking in both DRS zones and not only on the 2nd as […]

That’s why I picked Button and Perez @solidg, because I think that they might be a good team for the next couple of years.
Vettel and Webber together are the most successful in recent years as for Titles but […]

@keithcollantine I think what @solidg means is that putting the two strongest individuals does not make the strongest pair – ie the two roosters in the same henhouse scenario Ferrari keep squawking about

F1 3 months ago@SoLiDG On the subject of Hamilton and Button…
Button scored two more points than Hamilton in three years. He came very close to him last year, and not that far off in 2010. He was also much more impressive […]

F1 3 months agoHe proved once again he is probably the fastest driver in F1

@solidg
I agree.
Tyres are what glues the car to the road. It is the single most important part on any high performance car. You can have all the power and aerodynamic properties in the world, but if the tyres […] -

@solidg Agreed. They’re just frustrated that it scupped their chances of a race win that’s all.

@solidg – Well Hulk wasn’t surely ‘wreck’-less.

@solidg do you know what he got after that ? But still a big surprise a driver crashing under red flag keeps his licence … there is nothing more wrong than that. Hopefully the driver is not in his car anymore […]

@lateralus @solidg @bluestar77 The problem at Texas was not due to high G-loadings in a single direction but a combination of both lateral and vertical G. There’s a fascinating explanation of what happened in <a href="/2006/09/24/rapid-response-dr-stephen-olvey-2006/" […]

Paulocreed commented on the post, Should F1 change its tyre strategy? 1 year ago
@SoLiDG For an f1 driver to be outright fast they NEED to get the sweet spot with the tyres…. If they don’t hit the sweet spot then either they’re not using the tires to their max potential, or they’re […]
