@ajokay @colossal-squid Truck racing in Europe is speed-limited to 160km/h for precisely this reason, so I have no idea why it’s unlimited anywhere else. The safety standards definitely need to be looked at.

    Aaaaaaaand the announcement is official.

    http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/sport/motor-sport/mercedes-benz-joins-v8-supercars-with-stone-brothers-racing-and-erebus-motorsport/story-fnec19wg-1226477498324

Mercedes won’t be joining with full manufacturer support, it seems. The operation will be run locally by Erebus Motorsport and Stone Brothers Racing.

And after that, not Indy or anything in American but Le Mans Series, most likely with Porsche.

Or possibly GT3/GT1? Do a Schumacher and go back to his roots, racing in sports cars with Mercedes? :P

Well, according to FOX Sports, Rubens has signed for a full season: http://www.foxsports.com.br/speed/2319-rubens-barrichello-assina-com-equipe-da-indy

Although I’d take that with a grain of salt. It is FOX, after all.

Written by yours truly, circa 2010 – it makes sense in context:

“Little Chris Horner was at Eau Rouge Corner
    Watching his cars’ front wings;
He was feeling the best ’cause they passed the load test -
He could focus on more pressing things.”

When you think your TV’s aspect ratio is screwed because the cars look so weird.

I’ve never played many of the games mentioned here, having only gotten into F1 in 2007. my F1 game repertoire includes F1 05 and F1 06 on the PlayStation 2, and rFactor on the PC. F1 06 on the PS2 is in my opinion pretty underrated… it has pretty good gameplay and a very clinical feel to it, which I always appreciate. Although I’ve never played GP4 or GP Legends, I’d like to stick in a vote for them too, as well as rFactor – all three of them defined entire generations of racing simulator games.

I love to draw – stuff like cars, comics and scenes in everyday life. I should post links to a few of my F1-related drawings and stencils…

I also love video games, and not just limited to sim racing games like rFactor, Race 07 and others. I also love the Half-Life and Halo series (mostly due to their sci-fi settings and amazing stories – space marines with a twist for the former and a strangely beautiful post-apocalyptic drama for the latter), plus I love playing Minecraft. It allows you to build, explore, improve, gather and manage natural resources, and fight scary monsters! The retro cube-based graphics are also a nice addition.

I’m also into music a fair bit. I listen the heck out of my iPod, which contains 60s/70s/80s/early 90s pop-rock, and modern alternative and electronic music. I’ve written about half an album’s worth of my own songs too… I plan to learn how to read and write music this year so that I may produce some compositions of my own at some point.

Oh, and I’ve written quite a few short stories too.

Looks more like an aeroplane than a race car. YMMV on how it looks (I personally think it looks horrid :P ) but I’ve got genuine doubts about how it would handle with such a narrow front axle. It might as well be an overpowered version of my recumbent tricycle!

@lin1876 The only adapter I know of is made by XCM, and it’s a fairly hefty price – $84.90 US!

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to use a G25 or G27 on an Xbox without an adapter.

@magnificent-geoffrey Apparently rFactor 2 will have a system in place to stop such problems: http://www.virtualr.net/rfactor-2-content-management-diagram
