There seems to be a lot of debate recently over safety regarding all these “buttons” in the cockpit that the driver has to operate. I remember reading a few articles last year in which people suggested that one of the reasons there was less overtaking was because of the lack of (amongst other things) manual gear boxes. In the “old days” drivers were more likely to make a mistake when changing gears and this provided more overtaking opportunities. Perhaps having even more to do in the modern cockpit will shift the bias slightly, making cars more difficult to drive and bringing the human element more into play.

Multiplayer search improvement.

I want to search for multiplayer games and filter by driving aids. It’s really annoying that most people want to drive with a lot of the aids turned on and I’d like to filter that out.

It’s also annoying that about 70% of the games I try to join I get the message:

Unable to connect.

I’m using the PC version.

I’m running on a Radeon 4870 directx 10 card, as mentioned in the first post. It run’s beautifully with a great frame rate even with all video on the highest setting. (But I’m only running at 1368 x 768 on my Plasma)

I also have a Phenom x6, I’ve had issues with this, after speaking to codemasters it turns out there is a bug related to the Phenom x6, easiest way round it is to force the computer to just use 4 cores, the game still seems to run at full speed..

Does anyone know if you can play against xbox users when playing on windows live?

Still haven’t tried this yet, Paid for last week, but apparaentlty a database error prevented my Licence key being sent. Hopefully it will come today!!!
