I quite enjoyed skys coverage but everyone seems to be focusing on how it seems a little forced or ‘soulless’. Lets remember its their 1st weekend and the BBC weren’t exactly polished when they started again in 2009. I prefer skys coverage to BBC last year because they seemed to focus more on showing what great friends all the presenters were with everyone in the paddock. Sky is more focused on the tecnical side. I will be watching the BBC when they have a live race to compare to give them another chance.
Something I noticed today during f1fantic live for qualifying was the list of recently active members names should be in the bottom right but was appearing over the comments. I was on IE9 but changed to chrome which fixed the problem. Chrome also didn’t have the problem I previously mentioned about the large black area at the top of the page.
I agree that it seemed a little forced and too serious with everyone suited and booted. Als that GT is pointless for an F1 programme. But I was pleasantly suprised by the show. Remember its only the 1st show. Personally I’m really looking forward to playing with the interactive service, looks to be alot more in depth than the beeb.
Looks great apart from on every page the links at the top, eg features, pictures, quizzes, contact etc, is in a column on the left hand side with a large black box stretching across the page. I can supply a screenshot if required. Also pages are slower to load.
