Well I have booked Premium Stand south as it is highest part of circuit with good views over majority of circuit and also on turn 11 & 12 which reminds me of parabolica. It is also covered for shade &/or rain!

Also sorted Hotel flight & visa so all systems go!

    Anyone else booked ?

    Hi Todford

I am waiting to see the tickets come on sale via the official F1 site to see how prices compare. Feel more secure booking through them. Anyway toying with the idea of Premium stand south………

Over 300 Indian farmers have threatened to “dismantle” India’s new F1 circuit, angry over the way in which their land was acquired for the track.

The farmers, whose lands were acquired for Jaypee’s Formula One race-track, held a meeting at the Kanarsi village earlier this week to discuss to discuss their grievances.

According to the DNA India, the farmers, calling themselves the Bhartiya Kisan Union, drafted a letter to the Yamuna Expressway Authority demanding ‘more money, reservations in educational institutions and the setting up of more industries to generate employment in the area.’

“We are warning you that if our demands are taken casually, we will be forced to launch an agitation,” they said, adding that they will “dismantle the racing track with force if necessary.”

The Indian GP is scheduled to take place on 30th October while FIA technical director Charlie Whiting will head to India on 31st August to conduct his track inspection of the new venue.

    Oh dear

They have taken their pieces of silver and now regret it ~~~ perhaps they should wait until the circuit is up and running and see what jobs are available before they shhot themselves in the foot.

    Hi Vickyy

Well I have bitten the bullet and booked flight and acommodation, Puri’s Guest house sec 34 modest but will do me. So it had better not be cancelled!

Could do with some advice about what eating facilities I can expect at this sort of event? or are there supermarkets where I can perhaps buy some sandwiches etc to take, also some suggestions for good restaurants to eat in in the evening would be appreciated.

Getting excited now roll on October.

    Thanks

    Hi Todfod

Thanks for prompt response. Well thats not very encouraging, are there any recent pics of progress?

I have today had an email from AirAsia plugging flights to the event including a draw for some free race tickets tickets so they must be confident it will be going ahead and if anyone knows the score it must be Tony Fernandes!

Suspect I will soon bite the bullet and book hotel and flight but would like a bit more info first!

    More comments welcome.
