Going to the British Grand Prix at Silverstone 11 months ago Does anyone know whch granstands are restricted for general admission on Friday? Dont want to spend most fo the day walking around and only seeing the back of the stands and or securtiy personell!!
Hi Ian, If you have General Access tickets you will not be allowed entry to any of the grandstands Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Ticket Details
The General Admission areas allow you the freedom to change location throughout the day. Increased General Admission capacity and new raised areas mean that there will be more space and improved views for spectators. General Admission areas include, International Pits Straight, Hangar Straight, Becketts, Vale, Stowe and Luffield corners as well as the new double-left at Village.
The perimeter fencing has also been moved so that you can get closer to the action.
*Please note that a Friday General Admission ticket gives you access to any of the grandstands for the day.
And i read on another site that the Friday ticket allows entry to selected grandstands. A bit frustratinig that there is conflicting info and i would like to plan my day before i get there!! :)
not sure then Ian, bit of a pain having to walk round being told by each steward that there is no entrance until you hit it lucky. I would want to plan my day to so i totally understand.In regards to GA areas I would highly recommend Vale for you, you will get a great view from there and there are thousands who view from this section. Its Banked so your view won’t be obstructed, and the grandstand of vale and club will be behind you and to your left. Wherever you go and end up I hope you have a great time !
Thank you Mark, I will definetly check out Vale and maybe have a wander around after FP1 to see where (if anywhere) is availabe. I will also post after the weekend to maybe help someone out next year…that is if they dont change the rules again by then!! :)
The 40 ft TV is also positioned @Vale so anything going on at other parts of the track will definitely be seen from Vale. You will see the cars appraoching Stowe from the Hangar Straight, through vale and into club gonna be great !!!
