GP2 8 minutes agoShameful thing that this sport is so dependent on money. I hope Frijns gets a seat in F1 next year. He is the test driver for Sauber, a team which is usually very good at spotting talent.

@aish You don’t really think PDVSA go around paying people to call attention to the fact that a driver they sponsor nearly killed a marshal once, do you?

@andae23 I’m not saying there definitely aren’t others, I haven’t checked. I think Fangio entered once but didn’t qualify or didn’t start for some reason.

@bobby-balboa @alfa145 We’ve seen the best and worst of Maldonado at Monaco.
He won three times at Monaco before reaching F1 (in 2006, 2007 and 2009). He had a strong run in a poor car on his F1 debut in 2011 […]

The Mercedes wont win it themselves but they could have a huge say in who wins by holding up the cars making one more stop for the first stint.

I wonder if Ferrari will get a new customer for next year then. I’m sure plenty of teams would be interested in having the new Ferrari engine in their cars for 2014, on the basis that it will be expected to be as […]

Agree with everything you said. Which is why Clark was always #1 in my books, followed closely by Senna.

The Ferrari was plenty fast. It was definitely the faster car in the second half of the season. No doubt about it.

I would have to disagree. Alonso is as good if not better than Webber in qualifying. Rosberg has good qualifying pace, but lacks consistency in quali pace as compared to Alonso

Maybe, but with the team struggling this year, perhaps they saw releasing Lowe as the catalyst their technical stand-up needed.
