I was planning to take the train to the circuit as it seems to be the cheapest option, although I understand there may be a bit of a walk from the station to the circuit.
If your sister knows of any good (reasonably priced) restaurants in the area let me know! -

Barcelona Hotel (near Sants Train Station) Weds-Weds
BA Flights from/to Gatwick. (both via Expedia)
