BasCB commented on the post, Bungling the tyre row will give F1 a tainted title fight 17 hours, 30 minutes ago
They haven’t even been able to ask Pirelli to continue so far, possibly for lack of the Concorde Agreement @timothykatz!
I did read that Pirelli do already have contracts with the likes of Red Bull, Ferrari and […]

@timothykatz Tyre supplier contracts are three-year deals and Pirelli’s initial deal is up for renewal this year.

@timothykatz, remember they didn’t have the chicane before the final corner in 2004, so those times are a little flattered. I think they put the chicane in for the 2008 season. The race times for the 2008 and 2009 […]

Mads commented on the post, Penalty points system for drivers moves a step closer 1 week, 3 days ago
@timothykatz
No it would not replace the usual penalties. So don’t worry about that.
And regarding the 5 points for getting a race ban, I see it like this, a driver behaves like a MASSIVE moron, gets him self a […] -

@timothykatz No it’s me that’s been thick in thinking it was part of today’s round-up! Here you go. It’s a great read.

@timothykatz – A short version of the circuit, a bit like Suzuka East.

@timothykatz thanks!
BTW, I had short vacations at the beginning of april so I wasn’t really checking the roundup at “midnight” these days.
Hopefully the F1Fgoogle calendar was not affected by it -

@timothykatz – this is probably the worst publicity Pirelli has ever gotten (and at their cost)!!

@timothykatz
Since when has racing your team mate worn engines more then racing.. anyone else?
The teams and drivers know the limits of the engine and gearbox and they will make sure to make the equipment last […] -

@churaragi, sounds ridiculous doesn’t it, but as @jerseyf1 correctly explains and @timothykatz has pointed out, this is the way the teams have to work in order to win their championship and maximize their share of […]

HoHum commented on the post, Ecclestone: Red Bull and Mercedes wrong to use team orders 1 month, 3 weeks ago
Exactly right @timothykatz, Bernie is trying to ” have his cake and eat it too”, he constantly makes up rules and regulations without thinking through the result. Bernie wants teams to spend less but still put on […]

@timothykatz Not at all. Say you are approaching two cars, you can overtake one in the first DRS zone, and the other in the second.

Max Jacobson commented on the post, “One-lap tyres” appeal to Vergne 2 months, 3 weeks ago
@timothykatz – I personally like the spectacle of a modern, non-refuel pit stop. As long as they don’t dominate the races (2 per car is fine) then I think it adds to the fun, provided they don’t prevent on-track […]
