They certainly don’t make hardly any sound on those clips! i’m heading a long next week as thought they might turn it up to 11 after the first test at least (well maybe to 7-8, perhaps only 11 in August).

Are they going to be playing music whilst they race?

Alonso’s overtake on Hulk at the very end of the race showed what the wide corner profile is meant to achieve – and its great to see that it works and offers some variation. However I would vote for Grosjean overtake of Webber at the start – it was vital to do it and I think what @JayfreeseKnight said above was spot on. It was a class move, and carried out with the perfect mix of professionalism and assertiveness.

Wow, can really see how much more consistent Button was in 2011 compared to Hamilton (Button fan here) but more equal ’10 and ’12. Alonso seemed to be by far the biggest gap any teammate in ’11 & ’12.

@Zoey I would love to see Brawn replace Bernie! – not quiet sure why though, I just think he already has some of the best experience (at running a team at least, I know that’s not running F1) and could probs do it for a good 5 years, but I doubt we will get a new owner of F1 that would stay in power for 30+ years

I second sato113’s suggestion -i’m assuming your partner is not an F1Fanatic reader…..?

My partner bought me F1 tickets once and I thought she was a keeper and i’m pleased to say that my wedding is only a few weeks away! (actually 1 hour after Quali @silverstone) She really gets into F1 because its a passion of mine, but I certanly wouldn’t have gotten any Kudos doing it at the track. As long as she is a massive fan, and i’m sure she is as otherwise you wouldn’t be planning it anyway, then go for it. perhaps ring Silverstone now and see if you can speak to someone about it, you never know they might really try and help you out.

Go for it and update us!

Has to be 09 for me. I was such a button and Honda fan for 07 and 08 and was so upset by the thought of him and rubens not racing that everyone was consolidating me that they were out during the winter. I always admired button more than Ham – i think because Ham had a decent car from the off and loads of my mates (who were not f1 fans) suddenly were supporting Ham because a British guy was suddenly getting podiums in 07 and 08, and i always thought just give Button a car and lets see. His loyalty to Brawn and co over the winter instead of going to a lower team meant he trusted them and their promise of securing the team and a car good enough. I did not miss 1 second of that season and remember his win and how emotional i got from Melbourne (in fact i still remember that quali session!) and when he clinched it at Brazil….just wow… I will always remember that and as a result i find myself valuing loyalty a lot more in my life!
