That’s an odd shape for a racing circuit…

That’s a huge blow to the WEC. I too have been following Audi for quite a while now, so it’s really sad that they’re pulling the plug on WEC. With just two teams, things get a lot less exciting, and the P1 class becomes much poorer.

However, I’ve seen a while ago that Peugeot might me interested in joining the WEC again, since they’re finally strengthening their financials after the crisis.

Too bad BMW seems only interested in the GT classes, otherwise their 2018 entry could be just the perfect fit. They have the resources, the pedigree, the drivers. We’ll just have to wait and see if there’s someone interested in filling that huge gap.

I for one think it looks menacing. Some agressive bodywork details. Hope it seriously challenges Porsche.

It’s weird it has a hole, though. Some other teams have that feature in their sidepods as well, but all of them seem to be closed at the tip. Maybe Mercedes has somehow found a way of efficiently using that structure to blow some air along the sidepod for better efficiency.

I would much prefer they’d save that glorious green for a WEC entry in the LMP1 class.

Well, it’s not only via twitter that one can vote. That can also be done in the Formula E site, so that can explain some of that discrepancies Di Grassi’s complaining about.

Brabham BT46, known as the fan car. It raced just once, won that one, and was immediately banned.

Massa had his gearbox seal deliberately broken (I forget which race) to take a penalty which allowed Alonso to gain a grid placing.

It was in Austin, I guess in 2012. @junior-pilot

Webber seemed like Red Bull’s 2nd choice more often than not, although nothing has been said explicitly to confirm it.

It was done for safety/regulatory reasons

    Which safety reason? @matt90

And although I agree that it looks great and makes it seem more exciting, every time I saw them flying off from a car I couldn’t help but think that it was done to improve the show. So I don’t know if I am tottaly pleased with them.

I’d very much like to review those past overtakes, but almost every video has been removed or blocked by FOM. Utterly frustrating.
