@tomand95 – I think so too: it would be unjust for the FIA to punish the drivers for an error on their part, unless the knowingly violated the rules.

@tomand95 – Nevertheless , Mark tried to pass, after his team told him to “maintain the gap”. He even got alongside at one point.

@tomand95 – I’m sure that Silverstone 2011 wasn’t a fair fight when Webber ignored team orders.

@tomand95 I think it looks rather better than the first HRT:
It feelsa bit like a throwback to their original F1 livery from 1993 – I really like it.

I also don’t see a pushrodd in that front suspension. That being changed makes sen se as the whole nose is lifted up. As you say @tomand95, interesting change to sice pod front radiator openings.

@tomand95, the problem is, it’s probably more than a bit of funding. They’ve already given him the opportunity to work with the team, so giving him a million euros (or whatever a season in GP2 costs) might seem a […]

@tomand95 Indeed but as you say it was set outside an official race weekend session. For all we know the car was 100kg underweight and had a V12 in the back. (I doubt it, but you see my point!)

@tomand95 It’s difficult to second-guess these drivers but I imagine quite a few of them would give up the chance of an easier championship just to prove their talent elsewhere. Vettel won’t become any more of a […]

SouthPawRacer commented on the post, Which of Paul Ricard’s 167 tracks should F1 use? 1 year, 2 months ago
@tomand95 I’m not sure if the system at Yas Marina is the same, but the runoffs are abrasive at Paul Ricard. They’re colour-coded – The blue stripes are a mix of Asphalt and Tungsten, and the red ones are the same […]

@tomand95 He did have a cracking end to the race. Toro Rosso are looking pretty good this year.

@tomand95 – That was never going to happen in a year. It would probably take five, at least.

@tomand95 expanding on your safety car comment as I haven’t seen anyone really address it. Though I think there was a clue this could happen, the new safety car rule and the unlapping of lapped cars could be a […]

@tomand95 – No, it would not be. The 2012 regulations state that everything forward of the bulkhead may be no higher than 55cm. Everything behind the bulkhead may be up to 62.5cm. That’s a difference of 7.5cm […]

I hope Sutil can find a seat next year at williams.
I’ve heard that Vijay Mallya delayed announcing his drivers until Sutil had plans for 2012 in place. It might sound like a small courtesy, but […]
