@toothpickbandit – I’m not so sure: Sutil had an unusual amount of graining even for that tyre. They will probably be slower in the end yes, but I doubt they’ll have the issues Sutil had.

Not sure about this, I think as @toothpickbandit says below you might plausibly think that Red Bull should have held their drivers in position to secure the 1-2, but allowed Rosberg to pass Hamilton to give him a […]

@xjr15jaaag @bullfrog There was a very good explanation from Andy G (@toothpickbandit) of the potential unfairness in doing that – it was a Comment of the Day back in […]

@toothpickbandit – The Circuit of the Americas was named as such and scheduled to host the United States Grand Prix before the race in New Jersey was established. In retrospect, they probably could have set things […]

@toothpickbandit @keithcollantine And of course every single San Marino Grand Prix has taken place 100km from San Marino’s border.

@toothpickbandit F1′s had another attack of spurious nomenclature, so we have both a “United States Grand Prix” and a “Grand Prix of America”.
Not the first time, of course, nor even the most egregious […]

@toothpickbandit – you’re right of course, my bad – I meant Jordan’s FIRST win.

@toothpickbandit Good COTD. It does seem like it could happen quite easily!
It would be great to see Webber on pole. I believe he’s fast enough but last year he couldn’t turn it on when he needed to. Hopefully […]

@toothpickbandit seems to have misinterpreted the rule – it is the lapped cars that get released from behind the safety car, rather than have the leaders sort themselves out behind it. It’s not actually that […]

Both @prisoner-monkeys and @toothpickbandit look to be right… that’s what makes that new rule so complicated

I don’t really see how @toothpickbandit ‘s theory works. If lapped cars are allowed to overtake, then Di Resta can run back up behind Perez and the battle can resume, except neither car has been lapped. I may have […]

@toothpickbandit You are totally correct. Thanks for pointing out the example.
