Agree 100%. I really never thought I would miss those days.

4. Another race where it was purely manufactured racing and there wasn’t even that much over taking. DRS was ineffective. Only passes were related to tyres. They were conserving yet again right from the […]

1 out of 10. I don’t watch or support races that take place in countries with oppressive regimes.

I was a big fan of DRS and less reliable tyres. Especially after Monza 2010 where Vettel ran all but the last lap of the race without a tyre stop. But I must admit that I am really starting to tire of this […]

Trido commented on the post, Webber to start from the back of the grid 1 month, 1 week ago
He has done well in China from the back of the grid, but as he said after he went out this afternoon, the tyre situation was a lot different and the car was also a lot more dominant than it is now.

Vettel was not flawless. Twice towards the end of the season he tried to throw it away with bone headed mistakes. Only his brilliance as a driver saw him win the championship.

Yes, this is true but has not stopped anyone before. It didn’t stop Kovalainen from winning in 2004 when previous to that he only had professional experience in carting as well as 2 seasons in open wheelers. Or […]

Four time series champion who got trounced by everyone at the ROC. Goes to show V8 drivers aren’t that good.

Fair, I guess. He had a good season all in all and with a more competitive car or a more risky strategy he could have been higher.

Sorry to burst your bubble but in Australia, it is Green and Gold, not Green and Yellow. :)

I disagree. I know that it is often a bit boring, but I love Monaco and look forward to it every season.

Alonso. Only because the Red Bulls are light years ahead at the moment and he is doing everything he needs to in order to mitigate the damage done until Ferrari can hopefully catch up a little bit.
Vettel did […]

Very very sad. Used to dislike him when he was arrogant, but he grew up a lot and is a real gentleman of the sport. I will really miss him. I just hope he can snatch that elusive victory in his final 6 races.

Corners like Curva Grande, Eau Rouge and 130R (ie. Flat our corners) need to come under the same rules as straights. I think the rules should be more strictly enforced and penalties harsher for incidents on these […]

I meant driver fatality. Cockpit or wheel covers won’t protect marshalls.
Really, that is a subject all on its own. You look where some Marshall’s are on some tracks and you wonder how more aren’t injured. I […]

Trido commented on the post, Why covered cockpits and wheels may be F1′s future 9 months ago
Quite frankly, F1 is safe enough now. No deaths in over 18 years, and only a small handful of injuries sufficient to cause drivers to miss a GP in the last 10 years.
It is going overboard. They are paid […]

That is faulty logic. Senna may have survived had he had the benefits of the HANS device. Roland Ratzenberger died because he was silly not to come in to repair the damage to his front wing from the previous lap.
