Hamilton: What is this?
Moss (speaking slowly so Lewis understands): That’s a steering wheel. It turns the car. (sotto voce) Idiot. -

there was a flashing yellow light (for the Yellow and Red Stripe flag) meaning slippery surface or debris.
Why American broadcasters can’t get that straight, I really don’t know. It’s one reason I don’t watch them.

No Adrian, they were not one lap behind you, they were 1 lap in front of you (that’s the whole point) — and you messed up Lewis’s defense against Alonso, because you allowed Alonso to close the gap on Lewis by […]

“I would say even that is a bit of an exaggeration since Mercedes weren’t testing/changing out parts on their car for comparison purposes”
you don’t know that. Obviously, running cars for 1000km over […]

If I could make it to the Monaco GP, that’s the where I’d like to watch it from. What a great view of the course. It’s also amazed me how quiet it becomes as the cars disappear up to Casinos square. Wouldn’t even […]

Alonso is getting 2% so far? Decent on Thursday, a second off the pace in FP3 and lucky to qualify 6th on Saturday, then sank like a stone in the race. How does he get any votes?
Hands down Rosberg was on it […]

“Webber’s blood in the eye can make him clash (and crash) with Vettel”
why in the world would Webber want to ruin his own race and a chance at winning Monaco to do something like that? Not to mention doing that […]

on the BBC broadcast, DC was critiquing Massa when the were following him in the car (somewhere in the lap 50s), saying how slowly he was going, short-shifting and lifting through turns. He was about […]

I agree with you to an extent, except that I don’t think the tires are consistent enough for it to be a true thinking man’s game. Today you get it right (great thinking driver) the next race you get it […]

He wasn’t pushing harder than Massa in the final stint – DC commented on the onboard shot of Massa short shifting and lifting, preserving his tires, then DC said “AND he’s going faster than Alonso a Kimi”. […]

I saw in a recent article by Gary Anderson that he thought Allison was the next Newey (to paraphrase). The way Lotus has been going, it seems that way.

I’d agree overall with some of your points, though I don’t think Lewis will replace Jackie Stewart as the most successful racing driver ever – 3 WDCs in 99 races and a win rate of 27%? Not to […]
